I actually enjoyed this episode and literally LOL'd when garbage yoda started speaking perfectly normal once all her annoying garbage followers were dead.

In one of the first ventures to the dump there was a high view and a helicopter pad was clearly visible in the distance. In fact, I think I even commented on it in that week’s thread. I was just cstatic when Simon asked about it, but of course unsatisfied with the response.

Agreed.
We thought it was ridiculous that 3 or 4 years into the ZA that they would lose the ability to speak normally, and then it's confirmed that it's purposely done. Why go out of your way to talk like that? What's there to gain by doing that in the middle of a ZA? Nothing else to worry about?
So the garbage pail kids (minus 1) are all dead. So what was the point of them in the first place?

Watching this now ... why the sharp style change?
What is up with the character title cards? I think we know who Michonne and Negan are.
3 dramatic camera zoom close-ups before the opening credits? Is this BSG?

So the title cards ruined the Jadis reveal and contributed nothing. Not that it was that big of a shock, but not knowing she was alive when Rick and Michonne climbed the garbage heap would have been a better story-telling maneuver.
It’s too bad Pollyanna Macintosh seems to have gone to the Rick Grimes school of acting ... emotion through gran mal seizure. Other than that, the Jadis storyline/character is possibly the one that intrigues me the most now.
Can we finally admit that Rick is a piece of shit and NOT a hero yet? Leaving Jadis because HE had no use for her?
Just now up to the Rick/Negan scene. I agree with Negan and I’ve been saying that for several seasons now. Kudos to the writer of that speech. I don’t dislike Andrew Lincoln ... but maybe, just maybe, the show will get better when Gimple is gone and Rick is dead so they can’t continue to shovel this horseshit down our throats.
Curious where the Oceanside storyline is going to go.
All in all, I will agree this was a better episode than what we have gotten. Still a far cry from its heyday though.

It may not be true, but I agree. To me, the radical style changes in the storytelling show that even the people behind he scenes are giving a few shits less. That’s why it stood out to me. We already know they can’t be consistent in their writing, but now the visual style is no longer important to them.

Would you risk your life to help someone that has repeatedly betrayed you, threatened you and your family, tried to kill you and shot you? Seemed like a pretty human response to the situation to me.

He is the dumbass that kept going back to her for help, including this time. He didn’t abandon her due to the past relationship though. He specifically said she served no purpose for him anymore. (Post 17,000!!!)

I deleted the series from DVR when it came back a couple of weeks ago. But I still come here to read comments and make sure it still sucks.
With that said:
With that said:
AMC’s hit drama The Walking Dead continues its slide in the key demographic, reaching its lowest point since Season 1.
Sunday’s episode, “The Lost and the Plunderers,” drew a 2.9 rating among adults 18 to 49, and 6.8 million viewers in the Nielsen Live+Same Day numbers. As Variety notes, the last time an episode of the zombie series drew less than a 3.0 rating was Season 1’s “Wildfire,” with 2.8.

His baby had died like five minutes before that. He was understandably a little short on patience

A show you don't watch but come here to comment on ratings??? Ratings will be what they will be; AMC will decide when they get too low. Still a huge cash cow so at this point they mean nothing.

No shit.
As if the 20 hate watch posters here represents the viewership as a whole...

Hey I used to love this show. Friends and I used to have season premier parties. But now I only know one person who still watches it.

There are times when I go to ew radio or the ew site or check out the ew mag I still subscribe too and it feels like it is all TWD all the fricking time, so much coverage for a show that is getting less not more popular as time marches forward. Those are the times when I make the folks behind the Octane station on Sirius XM happy by clicking over to avoid listening to the umpteenth TWD story/interview over a short period of time.
