Season 1 is 10 episodes, but season 2, which is currently airing in Canada, has 18 episodes.

Also, Private Eyes was renewed for a 3rd season by Global in Canada back in September.
So, expect season 2 and 3 to eventually make their way to the U.S. on ION.

I really liked episode 9, which aired on Sunday.
Case of the week was fine about a magician who smuggled some illegal antiquities into Canada to help pay for his girlfriend's cancer treatment.
But, there was some good character moments between Angie and Matt. Especially after Matt's loyalty to Angie was tested when his ex got a job that involved him.
Also, just realized the actor who plays Rich Dot Com on Blindspot is also on this show as the detective working with them.

Anyone know if ION will air season 2 immediately following season 1? That's how they did Saving Hope.

I hope it airs this summer.
BTW FWIW, I've been tweeting about the show to Cindy Sampson and Jason Priestley and both of them have responded to my tweets, Cindy a few times. Cindy Sampson is very interactive with the fans of the show.

1st season finale aired on Sunday night.
Overall, I thought this was a pretty good 1st season. As I said before Priestley and Sampson had great chemistry and that's the key with these kind of shows.
Case of the week in the finale was fun and I liked that it helped tie up some of the tension between Angie and her Mom.
I was a little surprised that Jules didn't get angry when Matt told her reluctantly that she should probably move back in with her Mom. She actually accepted it maturely. I'm sure something will happen that will bring her back to Matt next season.
Ending was a little abrupt with Matt finding that letter from Angie's Dad.
I hope ION schedules season 2 sometime this summer.

FYI, Season 2 starts airing in just over 3 weeks:
It's 18 episodes. The 2nd half just started airing in Canada.
Season 1 finished airing about 2 months ago. It's light and breezy and an easy watch for those who recorded, but didn't watch yet.

Just a reminder, season 2 premieres this Sunday at 9pm ET
Set your DVRs.
Also, all 10 episodes of season 1 is re-airing as well. Check your local listings. I see them re-airing on Tuesdays at 9 or 10pm.
For those who want something light and fun and don't have access to cable shows, this is a fun little show. ION is an OTA network FYI.

Woot! I look forward to enjoying this show. It fills the void that was left when Saving Hope completed its final season.
Thanks DJariya for keeping an eye on the air date for season 2.

I was a huge fan of Hart Of Dixie so it is always fun to watch a show with Rachel Bilson as one of the stars.

I enjoyed the 1st episode of season 2.
Fairly predictable case, but I enjoyed that they resolved some of the uncertainty with Jules and Matt's relationship after last season.
I guess Angie is getting cold feet from dating Detective Nolan.

Sunday's episode was fun. Seemed to have a sort of ripped from the headlines plot with a teacher being accused of improper behavior with the student.
Not surprised that they kept on Samantha Wan (Zoe) to work with Angie and Matt. I liked her and she adds a litle quirkiness.

William Shatner guest starring on tonight’s episode. Played a sleaze bag PI competition to Angie. He was pretty awful.
Last weeks episode about the presumed dead violinist returning from the dead was actually really good.

I thought the violinist episode was a high point of both seasons to date, and just started the Shatner episode. He was never a master thespian but it sounds like even low expectations do not shield how awful he is in the ep, regardless this is a really fun show to watch (I even like the addition of the Asian actress to their P.I. firm).

Re: Private Eyes (ION) -- S: Jason Priestley -- Premieres 2/11/18
Looks like it was renewed for a 4th season in Canada
Not date when season 3 airs in the U.S. All likelihood it will be later this year.
I'm not anticipating the new 90210 scripted reality show to be any good, so I'm glad Jason Priestley has this to fall back on.
I'm a couple of episodes away from finishing season 2's 18 episode 2nd season. I know it's a pretty standard procedural and there isn't much to talk about, but it's fun light and breezy entertainment. Priestley and Cindy Sampson are really great.
