Yeah, not sure if a 2nd season is planned or if this is a 1-season type series.

Looking forward to watching the rest of the series and glad its getting some decent praise but I stupidly held off starting to rewatch GOT and I am pretty much dedicated to watching that moving forward. Almost no way I catch up before the premier .... so I wont get to this until mid to late april....

It wasn’t perfect, but this Season 1 of Hanna was quite good. It definitely takes a different path with the film’s story after the first couple of episodes or so, and that was perfectly fine with me (if memory serves correctly, I only saw the movie once). Creed-Miles is of course the standout as Hanna. She’s quite engaging and believable in the role. The rest of the cast is solid as well. Definitely worth watching.

I generally enjoyed it, but I found Hanna's utter cluelessness about electronic surveillance to be frustrating to watch.

She did grow up in the forest... so that part wasn't too far fetch.

I thought it was ok, I can't pin point it but it just felt like something was missing. I enjoyed it enough to give Season 2 a try.

Getting photographed at the party and on the street was forgivable, since they both passed by the emergence of the smartphone and ubiquitous public surveillance. Making phone calls (and later texts) was absolutely stupid.

I finally gave it a go last night and quickly found myself sucked in. Had to stop myself halfway through the third episode when the clock struck 1 a.m.

Season 2 is up now. I'll probably watch it all this weekend.

The first episode was pretty good. It reacquainted is with the UTRAX program, but progressed a little too quickly once Clara did what she did.

Loved the last scene of the ep though.

Re: Hanna (Amazon) based on the film -- S: Kinnaman, Enos, Creed-Miles

Binged the whole second season this weekend.

Pretty fast paced and a pretty engaging story. A few glaring plotholes and assumptions made in the story but pretty solid (albeit some weird set ups, twists, turns, and double-backs).

... and I didn’t think I’d miss having Heller in it - but I did.

Here’s hoping for a third season.

Re: Hanna (Amazon) based on the film -- S: Kinnaman, Enos, Creed-Miles

I finished S2 yesterday. I liked it, though I think S1 was stronger overall.

I thought it was a good idea to explore the Utrax program from the inside and 'The Meadows' where the girls are now being trained. 'Jules' and 'Sandy' were interesting characters and good foils/antagonists for Hanna. I hope that we see more of them in (hopefully) S3. It seems the obvious place to go.

In fact, I wish that more time had been spent on the girls actually training at The Meadows instead of the repetitious attempts by Hanna to rescue Clara, or by Marissa to rescue Hanna and Clara only for one of them at the last minute to decide they don't want to leave. The action scenes and fight choreography were great, though, as expected.

Mireille Enos as Marissa grew on me more this season. Of course, she's a more sympathetic character now that she's trying to protect Hanna. I did miss Joel Kinnaman. Dermot Mulroney is always a bit bland. I kind of liked Leo as a character--too bad he didn't make it. I liked Clara, too, but her story was resolved well so I don't think she'll return.

Re: Hanna (Amazon) based on the film -- S: Kinnaman, Enos, Creed-Miles

This season was a little bit of a mess for me. I still like it but I felt that they spent too much time at the meadows. The escape attempts were too repetitious. It just felt like the story was going nowhere for 5 episodes. Once they were sent on the mission, it was much better.

My biggest gripe is that the more they explain Utrax, the more ridiculous it gets. It really makes no sense if you think about it unless they are going to reveal that the puppetmasters have an ulterior motive.

Re: Hanna (Amazon) based on the film -- S: Kinnaman, Enos, Creed-Miles

Season kind of dragged. Really hated those scenes at the Meadows - I thought I was watching some teen girl drama show meant for the CW or something. But as soon as they get to the actual 'in the field' missions it was awesome. Hoping this gets renewed for S3, and we get less teenage drama and more 'mission' episodes.

Agreed. I was also disappointed there were only eight episodes (which I didn't know until I finished the eighth episode just now).

Re: Hanna (Amazon) based on the film -- S: Kinnaman, Enos, Creed-Miles

I finished season 3 yesterday. It's only six episodes. I think the last three episodes are better than the first three, so it may be worth sticking with even if you aren't loving it at first, but YMMV.

Overall, I think this show started out with a lot of potential, and season 1 was very good. Season 2 was solid, but season 3 is probably going to be mostly forgettable. And I imagine this will be the last season because I don't think a lot of people are watching.

I've seen the movie multiple times and I think I'll spin it up again soon. It's so well-directed, and Saoirse Ronan gives a great performance.

Re: Hanna (Amazon) based on the film -- S: Kinnaman, Enos, Creed-Miles

I watched episodes 1 and 2 of this season. It was OK but I've mostly forgotten the show exists so I have not made it back to watch the rest of the season. I'll finish it when I'm bored but I feel no sense of urgency to know how it turns out. Glad to hear it's only 6 episodes long otherwise I might not have bothered. Some decent action sequences in one of the episodes but its been a few weeks now and it's all blending together. TBH I could barely recall season 2 when I started this one so it really seems pretty forgettable.

I watched all 6 eps this weekend… a fitting end to a good series. I’ll miss it.
