When Harvard philosophy professor Jack Griffin fails to get his dream job and reluctantly moves back to Ohio to work as a high school Advanced Placement Biology teacher, he makes one thing very clear: he will not be teaching one bit of biology. Instead, realizing he has a room full of honor roll students at his disposal, Jack recruits the kids to help him mentally break his job-stealing nemesis and win back the position that's rightfully his. From Saturday Night Live alums Seth Meyers and Mike O'Brien.

I'm a bit obsessed with Always Sunny. Looking forward to this just because of Glenn Howerton. I hope it's something special.

I really liked the first episode of this, but honestly didn’t find the next two to be nearly as good. Maybe it’s just that the main character’s irreverent attitude is best in small doses.

I missed the first ep when it aired and it was a happy accident that I discovered I could binge the first three episodes on Hulu and had the opposite reaction as I felt the first ep was okay but felt the show really started to gel for me around the third episode. The quirkiness of the show may still take some getting used too but things got better the more I watched.

it's basically Dennis from It's Sunny just a substitute teacher. it's ok, but nothing that can't be missed...

I'm just not finding much funny after 3 episodes.
I was hoping to be surprised like I was with The Mick. I thought it was going to essentially be Dee from Sunny in a surrounding and with characters that just aren't funny. However, she's only a partial Dee and the setting and other characters work well and there's plenty of laughs.

I'm liking it. In Instagram-filtered cinematography gives it a unique look. I'm hoping it flourishes. I seriously miss NBC's old Thursday-night lineup (30 Rock, Community, The Office) that they seemed to have abandoned and never attempted again. Those shows were like family. I'd love to have that kind of lineup back.
So it has promise. But doesn't feel like it's on fire yet. But, if you go back to first episodes of your favorite shows, they often take a good half-season to find their groove. ... Then five years of greatness. ... Then the decline.

The official "series premiere" is tonight, with two episodes. Episode 3 and 4, though it seems they are airing out of production order. E4 at 9pm and E3 at 9:30pm.

I thought the Pilot was great... I'll give it at least a few more weeks. I've always like Oswalt too. Not much network TV can actually grab my attention these days; so this is a good start IMO.

Not bad but as someone who just binged all of It's Always Sunny for the first time in the past month, it is weird as it seems like a tamer version of Dennis and the constraints of network tv is jarring.
I will continue watching though as I do like Glenn.

This had some moments but his snarkiness is best in small doses. We will probably give this a couple

That's how I see it. 30 Rock is probably my favorite show of all time. But if you watch the first 10-or-so episodes, it's almost like a different show. Then it got amazing. Always Sunny was the same way - in that Season 1 was almost like an indie film told in six acts. You can apply that to many shows.
Arrested Development is one show that felt the same from episode one.

So disappointed in this show. Really wanted to like it, but just don't. Not yet anyway. Might catch up eventually but definitely not a must see.

It’s unique but I find it pretty distracting. Everything is so washed out with the exception of greens/teals. And every scene is filled with greens and teals. Hell, even Howerton’s eyes are distracting!

Surprised this got renewed.
There just isn't much going on the in the show. Basing it all around his obsession at getting back at a nemesis is pretty thin. Some of the students are ok, but the staff - especially the 3 lady teachers are pretty useless.
There's just not much that's funny.
The chick who plays Sarika is really hot in real life.

Started to watch this again and am now really enjoying it. Definitely took a while to start working though. Glad it will be back for season two.
