Based on the award-winning series of comic books by Charles Forsman, THE END OF THE F***ING WORLD invites viewers into the dark and confusing lives of teen outsiders James (Alex Lawther – Black Mirror, The Imitation Game) and Alyssa (Jessica Barden – The Lobster, Ellen, Penny Dreadful) as they embark on a road trip to find Alyssa’s father, who left home when she was a child.

I just glanced at it. 8 episodes averaging at about 20 minutes each. It’ll be an easy binge.

I thought this was really great and wanted more when I made it through the 8 episodes. The two leads are really excellent. I thought it was strong in its use of narration.
A really great tribute to on the run films like Badlands, Bonnie & Clyde, and especially True Romance. Some obvious nods to Tarantino and Scorsese.

Stumbled across this by accident and really thought it was fantastic. Watched the whole thing in less than a day- pretty easy to binge with 8 episodes all about 20 minutes each- so the whole thing is not much more than a single movie.
Ordinarily I would love that but in this case I was left wanting more....

Wow, this show was a complete surprise and a lot of fun. Alex Lawther does an amazing job playing a sociopath in this and he and Jessica Barden are both entertaining. I really hope a second season comes out although I understand the graphic novel this is based on wouldn't be available for a reference.
I have to say I barely recognized "Reeks" sister Gemma Whelan from GoT in this but she did a great job as DC Eunice...

Maybe it is because I am only on episode 2 but I thought it was okay. I can appreciate what they are going for but having seen Badlands and True Romance (not in theaters, in a film class at U.C. Santa Cruz) I think a crazy high bar has been set for this show to overcome. It is refreshingly short, almost like we are watching a collection of 15m youtube shorts that were finally collected and turned into a mini series for Netflix.
Regardless, I am curious and will finish it up soon.

Well, what did you think Inhumans? I just binged it and ... meh.
I was about to bail throughout the first three episodes, then it finally picked up enough that I finished it. The lead characters were unsufferable twats and I was getting sick of it. The actors did a great job, it was the actual characters that were grating on my nerves.
Was it just me, or did the characters look 2 years younger at the end?
A few of the podcasts I listen to were raving about this. I gave it a shot.

Was there another thread on this? I thought I had already commented.
Regardless, I really enjoyed this and would love to see more.

I wonder if this is "Airing" somewhere abroad similar to what they do with some of the BBC content airing in the US or something like that....
I really enjoyed it and would be down for a season 2 if it were feasible....

I really enjoyed this, watching it in one sitting. Is this supposed to have a second season? Otherwise that ending... I assume he's just dead?

Yeah it started out stellar but progressively got worse as it wore on. Especially when they meet the father. I still enjoyed it though.

Finished the show about a week ago and really liked it, and think it stayed strong through the end.

Not a lot of buzz for this show apparently. I finished it a few days ago and I thought it was really, really good. Beyond the obvious of the performances and characters, I really enjoyed the music choices in this, as well.
Don't know if it's supposed to be one and done or a second season is coming. But based on the way it ended, I don't see how you could even make a second season.

Great news! I was hoping that's what the thread bump was about.
