I'm waiting to see if anyone includes Hot Date on the POP network or the canceled Will from TNT.

Forgot Goldbergs, Good Place and Life In Pieces.

We still watch TBBT and Modern Family out of habit not quality. Small sampling but I noticed these along with Young Sheldon were not included in anyone's list. We watch Speechless which isn't high on the list either. I find the concept compelling but I dislike Minnie Driver. I realize she is supposed to be an annoying character so I guess it's a compliment that she's so good at it. I keep expecting John Ross Bowie to be funnier and talk with a lisp like Kripkie.

I haven’t watched it, but I also haven’t noticed Atlanta on anybody’s list ... I thought it was pretty highly praised?

I'm most surprised by how many people have The Orville top 5 and how no one else has Attack on Titan

Heh. I like how they both put current things in historical context. Maddow gets too partisan, but my politics align with hers, so I guess I don't mind much.

Beck isn't afraid to criticize Republicans, and the guy just puts on an entertaining show. He'll interview a liberal atheist like Penn Jillette, and have an actual discussion - not some "gotcha" debate.

Re: Your top 10 shows of 2017

1. Westworld
2. Game of Thrones (still awesome despite its weakest season by FAR)
3. Better Call Saul
4. The Gifted
5. Outlander
6. Magicians
7. Dark Matter (completely SUCKS it was cancelled)
8. The Good Doctor (nice to have House back)
9. Bates Motel
10. Wynnona Earp

Honorable mentions: Orville, Killjoys, Major Crimes, Legion, Fargo, Mr Robot, Stranger Things, The Man in the High Castle

Really after Westworld and Game of Thrones they are all sort of bunched together. I might rate 3-10 completely different tomorrow.

Like I enjoyed Wynonna Earp more than Legion but Legion was a better show. I sort of irrationally like The Gifted now, I don't think it is as good as I am enjoying it really but it continuously surprises me and its fresh.

The Simpsons is still regularly entertaining. It's just more hit-or-miss these days. The extended couch gags are better than ever.

I guess I should have included The Middle since it has been a long time favorite and they are staying pretty strong through the final season. Finally looks like Sue is going to win at something.

Superior Donuts is pretty good. For those that remember Chico and The Man it has that vibe. Problem is both my wife and I say it makes us crave a donut.

In no particular order:

The Americans
Game of Thrones
The Crown
Stranger Things
Curb Your Enthusiasm
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Better Call Saul
Homeland
Halt and Catch Fire
Outlander

Just realized that The Walking Dead isn't even in my Top 10 anymore. That would have been top 3 if you asked me a few years ago.

Re: Your top 10 shows of 2017

Spent much of 2017 catching up and rewatching old shows like rewatching the entire Walking Dead series and Breaking Bad. I didn't even enjoy Survivor this year. Game Changers and the current season were both awful. So was Bloodlines season 3.

The Tick and Sneaky Pete were great series on Amazon. Game of Thrones was amazing as always, but too dang short.

Legion
American Vandal
The Punisher
GLOW
Game of Thrones
The Leftovers
Ozark
Mind Hunters
American Gods
Stranger Things

Honorable mention: The Iron Fist (apparently, I'm the only person who enjoyed this show)

Re: Your top 10 shows of 2017

season ratings

Young Sheldon
Will & Grace
The Good Doctor
The Orville (renewed)
SEAL Team
Ghosted
The Gifted
9JKL
Law & Order True Crime
The Brave
SWAT
Me, Myself & I (cancelled)
Wisdom of the Crowd
The Mayor
Kevin (Probably) Saves the World
Marvel's Inhumans
Ten Days in the Valley (ending)
Valor
Dynasty

Based on the anecdotal evidence from this thread that absolutely no one put it in their top 10, I am very surprised Young Sheldon was number 1. Goes to prove once again I am absolutely terrible at guessing what will have legs and what won't.

Me, Myself and I was growing on me before it was cancelled. It was flawed but had heart.
9JKL is kind of like Everybody Loves Raymond if it was told from Robert's point of view. Parents a little too close. I wanted to like this but I'm just not feeling it.
The Orville , loving it
Will and Grace the wife likes so we watch it. It does have it's moments.
Other than that I don't watch any of the top twenty and am surprised those others are even are in it. I do love the Orville though. Glad that got renewed if nothing else I get a weekly dose of Palicki.

Re: Your top 10 shows of 2017

No Hulu, No Netflix. Made time for guilty pleasures. And still too much left untouched on my DVR.

Top 3
1) Outlander - just your typical sweeping time traveling romance. Balfe continues to do fantastic work.
2) The Mick - a fun gem
3) American Horror Story: Cult - all over the place riot

Rest of 2017 fave viewing list, no particular order:
The Middle
Search Party
Mr. Robot
The Orville
Angie Tribeca
Leah Remini- Scientology and the Aftermath
Good Behavior/Claws
Orphan Black - just finished wrapping up this series.
