Watched the first seventeen minutes of this online a few days ago. Looks promising.

Was wondering when they'd be back.

Wow, I thought that was pretty cool. I wonder if the destruction of the Earth is tied to Avengers 3? I would think Coulson will mention the Avengers in an episode soon, like "how could they let this happen?" or ask what happened to them?

Damn, holy shit. Just saw hour 1.

So they got transported about 100 or so years into the future and the earth is gone?

Great start to the new season. Almost felt like a sci-fi reboot having all the action move to space and a very dark future.

"Uh, outer?"

Everyone giving Coulson grief about not wearing his cool artifical hand LOL.

I was so scared/nervous that in the scene where we are introduced to Kasius that he was going to turn around and we'd see Brett Dalton was the actor cast in that role.

Thank the heavens for small miracles.

Whew.

This show has improved every season and it's something Marvel should be proud of. It pisses me to no end that Feige considers it the red-headed step-child.

Any RL reason why Fitz wasn't brought along? Seems odd to leave that one character behind.

That was a fun "reboot" of the show. I hope this doesn't deal on for the whole season, though. I don't want them in future in space whole year.

There's a lot left to explain

Who's the guy in the human suit?
What agency sent them to the future?
Where did they get a time travel monolith?
What's the mission? Can't be to save Earth, that's past.

It's implied Fitz knew what happened to them if he left message for them.

The producers have said there will probably be two story arcs this season.

I dunno. I'm not feeling this future shit. Mainly because, while this show is part sci-fi and all, I just don't want to see "future" story lines if we're just getting them retconned anyway. Takes the bite out of it. Even more so, they skirt any knowledge of past history due to the kree being the ones handling how history is known. Meh, I just... I dunno. Not feeling this setting.

I feel pretty much the same way. I was enjoying the episode until the Future twist was revealed and completely lost interest. Not sure if I'm gonna make it through this season.

Yeah, while I like the ret-con, I hope they don't stay in this future for long.

But being that they've hinted that Daisy/Quake is responsible for the Earth falling apart, they might go back and explore that before the season is done. The setting does feel cheap and limited for much more than a few episodes.

I can't imagine Daisy was able to crack the planet in half. Black Bolt, on the other hand...

I doubt this is an Infinity War side event. Showing the Earth destroyed is one hell of a spoiler. I know they used a lot of plot points from Winter Soldier, but they didn't air those episodes 6 months before WS came out.

I was thinking about the Black Bolt theory. Maybe that's the way it will lead to the expected crossover, although to be honest, I hope the Inhumans get retconned in this whole future storyline as the show was really bad.

Don't worry. They'll find a way for fan-favorite Brett Dalton to return after his long absence from the show.
