The Woolking Dead: Walking Dead (Reverse) SHEEP GAME!

It's Sunday night ... time for THE WOOLKING DEAD: A Walking Dead (REVERSE) SHEEP GAME

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rcTazuKiqL...mbie-sheep.jpg

The basic rules:

Intro for first time players
Spoiler:
(Reverse) Sheep is a game that is part Family Feud, part trivia game. The object of the game is to outwit other players through a series of questions that are usually united in theme. There are two types of questions.

The first, Sheep, is one where you try to think like everyone else and match their answers. The more people you match, the better you do. Let's say we have a game of six players (A through F). A Sheep question might be something like "Name a great color." Sheep questions never have right or wrong answers. Let's say our five players answered like this:

Players A, C, and E said "Blue"
Players B and D said "Green"
Player F said "Chartreuse"

Scoring in Sheep games is like golf: the lower your score, the better. The "Blue" players get -3 points (and the best answer). The "Green" players get -2 points. Player F did not match anyone and gets 0 points.

The second type of question, Reverse Sheep, is the exact opposite. You want to avoid matching other players. A Reverse Sheep question might be something like "Name a state on the Atlantic Coast." Reverse Sheep questions always have right or wrong answers. Let's say our players answered like this:

Players D and E said "Delaware"
Players F and B said "Maine"
Player C said "Texas"
Player A said "South Carolina"

The "Delaware" players get +2 points (a penalty, since you want to have a low score). The "Maine" players also get +2 points. Player C's answer might be debated among the players to see if it is considered correct or not. Wrong answers always score above the most common answer. You're always better off going for something obvious than for something obviously wrong.

That's the gist of it. Each person running a game adds little rules here and there but those are the basics.

General Rules
Spoiler:
The object of the game is to out-think everyone by picking answers to questions that are the most common (<FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #F9DF00">Sheep</FONT>) or least common (<FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #A3D867">Reverse Sheep</FONT>), but still correct.
Example <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #F9DF00">Sheep</FONT> question: "Name a professional golfer." A good answer might be Tiger Woods and a bad answer might be Chichi Rodriguez.
Example <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #A3D867">Reverse Sheep</FONT> question: "Name a play by Shakespeare." Romeo & Juliet might be a bad answer, but Two Gentlemen of Verona might be a good answer. (Unless everyone is trying to go as obscure as possible).
Scores are tallied according to the number of players answering that question. Sheep answers are tallied as negative. Reverse Sheep answers are tallied as positive. The lowest score wins.
There is no such thing as wrong answer for a Sheep question.
Wrong answers in Reverse Sheep are scored two points above the most common answer.
You may not cheat by using Google, Wikipedia, etc. Use only what's in your head.
Please send in your answers to me via PM. Place only one answer per line, without numbers, set info, or the question itself. Add {sd} to the end of the answer, not the beginning. Those who do not do this will be penalized 10 points right off the bat.
Note: Be creative with your answers, but don't be stupid.
Sheep questions are marked by an <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #F9DF00">S:</FONT>, Reverse Sheep questions are marked by an <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #A3D867">R:</FONT>.

Game-Specific Rules

To be considered correct, answers must be from the TV SHOW "The Walking Dead" (unless otherwise specified in the questions).

Unique Bonus: Reverse Sheep questions will generate additional bonus (negative) points according to the following:
1 Unique is awarded -20
2 Uniques are awarded -15 each
3 Uniques are awarded -10 each
4+ Uniques are awarded -5 each

Slam Dunks {sd} Players have the power of multipliers in their hands. Each player is given five (5) Slam Dunks ({sd}) which they use by adding {sd} to the end of their answer. Your Slam Dunks have different effects depending on the question you use it on:
In <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #F9DF00">Sheep</FONT> questions, the {sd} adds 1 to the Multiplier.
In <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #A3D867">Reverse Sheep</FONT> questions, you can use your {sd} to turn the question into a sheep question for you. However, if your answer is wrong, it does nothing.
Slam dunks cannot be stacked. Use one per question only or else they will be discarded. You cannot use two slam dunks to turn a Reverse into a Sheep and then slam dunk those sheep answers.

1) R -- Name one of the members of the first "settlement" (the encampment) in Season 1.

2) From first to worst -- which season has been the worst season? (I'll accept a description)

3) Oh, let's get this out of the way … who is/was the hottest character?

4) Hot characters need partners; who has been the best couple/hookup?

5) Which zombie (or zombie kill) was your favorite?

6) R -- Identify a "rival" group that Rick and Co. have fought against.

7) Those rivals all had homes … what settlement/location from the show would
you choose to live in?

8) Of all those locations and rival groups, who has been the best villain on the show?

9) If ___ blank dies, we riot! Who is your favorite character?

10) What dead character do wish was still around?

11) Uggh! What living character do you wish was dead?

12) Which character's death shocked you the most (either surpising or emotional)?

13) R -- Name one of the people who were living at the Greene family farm when we first encounter the farm.

14) TWD is known for its plot holes or wildly illogical happenings -- what was the worst?

15) Fear the Walking Dead has been a disappointing spinoff; what spinoff do you want to see?

16) Create your own drinking game! Every time ______ happens in The Walking Dead, you have to take a drink.

17) You have survived the zombie apocalypse (so far) … what food do you miss the most?

18) Besides food, what else do you miss the most?

19) Living or dead, which character would you have chosen to lead your group?

20) Where the $%#! is Heath?

The game will begin when we get a satisfactory number of players. Hopefully everybody stays alive while we wait ...

Sent my horrible answers.

I'll get in answers for this. They won't be good answers ... my memory of specific details of the show is fuzzy. And I don't really follow the "fandom" of the show, so have little idea of what people like and don't like.

Only three submissions so far ... what would you guys think of lifting the “no internet help” rule and allowing some sort of help?

mwbmis 11-15-17 08:42 PM

Re: The Woolking Dead: Walking Dead (Reverse) SHEEP GAME!

I would be against it. I haven't watched since season 5, but I'll be submitting answers at some point this week.

I'd be against it too. Anyone who has watched a few seasons of the show should be able to come with answers.

I’ll be submitting soon.

Thank you guys! I wasn’t sure if people just weren’t interested, didn’t feel they remembered enough, or if people were just busy. The embargo stays.

I have not even opened my PMs yet. I will submit answers and send them to the first person I received a PM from in case we need to bolster the numbers. I don’t like doing that, but I suck anyway. :)

Answers submitted, along with my idea for a better thread title “The Flocking Dead.”

I'm in. My chances of getting multiple bootsy in this game are pretty solid.

Got any more Abob? Being a holiday week, you should probably leave things open until next week anyway. Maybe advertise in the Walking Dead weekly threads. I don't consider myself a die-hard and/or super knowledgeable fan, and I didn't think these questions were obscure at all.

Wait, no. Not sixteen. Just six so far. I haven’t done my answers nor have I even looked to see who the six are (let alone looked at their answers).

I haven’t been in the TWD thread for this week because I haven’t had a chance to watch it just yet. Hoping to watch it tonight and then I can pop in there.

I tried to write the questions pretty broad and even include several that aren’t even directly related to the show. I hoped that would entice a few who may be on the fence.

I'm waiting for the eventual CORAL meme about not enough players.

Ah, I want to play in another Sheep game, but I stopped watching TWD after Season 6. I hardly remember anything from early on.

Re: The Woolking Dead: Walking Dead (Reverse) SHEEP GAME!

I'd like to help, but I've never seen a single episode of TWD. I could submit random answers, but I don't think that would help anyone.

Re: The Woolking Dead: Walking Dead (Reverse) SHEEP GAME!

Come on guys! They don’t have to be good answers!

Excuses and assholes around here ... everybody has them. ;)

I would like to kick the game off on Monday, so last call for answers will be Sunday night.

I guess I'll play... I hope I do okay. Sent.

Edit to add: Forgot the {sd}'s so I resent the message.

I like my chances of finishing top 10 for this game! :D
