I really do like this show, but it is starting to get a tad repetitive.

I'm kind of tired of seeing the dark and dingy HQ.

I kind of dig the location so far. maybe we'll see some upgrades later on especially with them prepping for an attack and another group joining them.

How is this show doing as far as numbers?

How long before Andy goes "dark"?

DOING PRETTY WELL

The Gifted (Fox, Mondays at 9/8c)
Episode 1 (Oct. 2): 4.90 million/1.48 rating
Episode 2 (Oct. 9): 3.79 million/1.20 rating
Episode 3 (Oct. 16): 3.46 million/1.10 rating
Episode 4 (Oct. 23): 3.36 million/1.00 rating
Episode 5 (Oct. 30): 3.43 million/1.10 rating

The Gifted (and Ghosted) are middle of the pack for Fox, which is actually a win for the network as it tries to recover from a disastrous 2016-2017. They're on their way to full seasons for the network, and I wouldn't be surprised if they stuck around while aging (and ratings challenged) vets like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Exorcist get chopped.

There is no way this doesn't get renewed for atleast another 10 episodes.

Was thinking the same thing. With him enjoying the destructive power he has, I could see him going rogue at the least and trying to advance the fight himself.

So how quickly do the Sentinels pick up on the phone call that Eclipse received at the end of the episode?

Liked the use of the illusion power when trailing the truck. But making the truck fly bit might have made more sense if she just covered the barricade and it ran through their trucks ...

Actually, one of the things I really dig about the show is the different mutants using their abilities together. It is clever. I still think it would be great every once in a while to throw in a Mystery Man like mutant that has a semi-useless power, like they had in the movie. It would actually add some realism to it, since everyone always has these super useful powers.

I am really liking it. Very likable cast and would make a lot of sense for the young kid to become more of a true villain.

The Gifted has turned out far, far better than I expected. It has smart casting and strong writing.

Does Polaris go really dark when she inevitably loses the baby?

Spoiler:
Well the character it’s the most stable to begin with. It’s a family thing for the daughters of Magneto. And before anyone else brings it up, I refuse to accept the change of Scarlet Witch’s parentage. That’s X-men movie rights BS between Disney and Fox.

Even Polaris's parentage in the comics has been changed and changed back and changed again to the point where I'm not exactly sure where it stands now.

I hope they invent a Summers cousin or something for this series.

They already mentioned The Brotherhood of Mutants at least once, so it would be interesting if we see Andy join some faction from that group.
