I'm enjoying this show. I like that they're not covering too much plot too quickly. There's some good character development happening.

The son has a temper and doesn't control his powers well. He is going to cause big problems for the rest of them.

I didn't understand the exchange between the red-haired woman mutant and the guy after she helped Blink to open the portal for them. And what exactly did she do that helped Blink?

The "Aurora Borealis" created when Polaris and Eclipse got together in the flashback was cheesy but kinda clever.

I'm glad Vampire Bill grew a conscience and stopped helping the mutant hunters.

Great episode. Some really good special effects.

and yes I agree that they've done a good job so far not eating through so much plot. Some good character development.

"Dreamer" put in her own romantic memories with John into Blink to help give her the motivation to create the portal. She's only effective using her powers if she actually cares about the person.

I'm actually surprised that I actually like and am rooting for almost every protagonist on this show. Seems like that rarely happens anymore. And mission accomplished in making me hate the racist (speciesist?) militia, which is what all good XMen shows should do.

I mean I know we're going to get mutant "hounds" as soon as next episode, but I kinda want there to be a brotherhood equivalent too because that's certainly the place the younger Strucker is going with his screw the casualties let's kill the racists attitude.

I find this show not particularly original, but extremely well done, and I find myself really liking the characters. I like that the parents still unconditionally accept their children. I like that it is not overly dark and gritty. I like that the mutants are generally better people than the people hunting them.

i also really like the pacing and the fact that there is a logic to people's actions

I also really like that people are accepting of other's failures in this show. That in and of itself is unusual.

I LOVED the aurora borealis effect. I did not think it cam off as cheesy at all.

I find myself looking forward to the show. Which certainly means it will be cancelled.

I'm enjoying the show quite a bit was well. The kid is a little emo for my tastes, but I like that they are pointing to him possibly breaking bad.

I hope this show gets renewed. The Gifted has far surpassed my expectations. This has been a very well-crafted first three episodes without falling into the standard mutant/X-Men tropes.

It's not Legion but The Gifted is great network television.
