<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/JtigV-biVGg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> The Emmy-nominated animated series "Star Wars Rebels" returns for its fourth and final season beginning MONDAY, OCTOBER 16 (12:30 a.m., 3:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. EDT), on Disney XD and the Disney XD App. The one-hour episode marks the beginning of the most important mission yet for the Ghost crew as the series draws closer to its grand finale. In this final season, the Ghost crew joins the growing Rebel Alliance, struggling to unite against the Galactic Empire. However, when a new Imperial threat arises on Lothal, Ezra leads the crew back to his home world to defeat the oppressive forces of the Empire under the command of cunning Grand Admiral Thrawn. Old friends are reunited and new alliances are forged as the series builds to its epic conclusion. It is airing multiple times (starting at midnight) through the day today. So make sure to check your DVR is you're setting it to record all new episodes and didn't have it already set. The airings later in the day won't be recognized as new. |

Per this wikipedia episode listing, we'll be zipping through the beginning of the season with two episodes premiering at a time.

I hope they pull out all the stops and no filler. I found the series to be a chore but it's something my son loves... so I happily oblige.

They played these a day early last night... Good to have it back, but I kind of wish they wouldn't spend too much of the final season dealing with Mandalore.
EDIT: just noticed it was always scheduled for a midnight release, but because of timezones it appeared like a day early to me. |

Yeah, that was not entertaining at all. This being the final season, I would expect a more Vader / Thrawn. I'm assuming another series is in the works that might fill the gaps on the core characters we love? I couldn't care less about this group.

The animation and storyline in this series is generally lousy. It has had some entertaining moments and cool cameos, but it really doesn't compare well with the Clone Wars series (which had its own problems, to be fair). But my kids get excited to watch this, so I guess it does its job.

If the show could ever live up to that trailer, it'd be must-watch TV. Unfortunately it has been mostly filler with moments of really, really good stuff.

Chopper grabbing Hera's hand was very sweet.
Kanan regaining sight at the last second was great. It was a nice sendoff..especially with the follow up episode showing how each character dealt with the aftermath. |

Ok, so if Stardust and the Tie Defender project were competing for funding, one could say that this group of rebels just indirectly made the Death Star possible. From a certain point of view... ;)

Episode 10 -- great... Episode 11, blah (as per the cadence of this show). Man they make the upcoming episodes look good and then it rarely delivers.

Kanan got a great sendoff and I liked that the next episode dealt with the aftermath. So many TV series will kill off a character and the next episode you'd never know that anyone cared.
