This wrapped up pretty well. I think the writers knew there wouldn’t be any more episodes. They pretty much wrapped up everybody’s story lines and left a few plot points open had they more.
I do feel like this last season flew along quickly, although some of the plots felt cliche, and other things kept attention from more interesting things. Plus, the Clyde plot felt very Max 2.0 from S3 redux. I think I’d read they didn’t know who’d initially play Jones. I think it would have been better had they not used the same actor as Max. I didn’t feel like he had that much range.
Highlight might have been the Liz/“Liz” convo ad the diner!
On the whole, I liked the more adult setting of this reboot as opposed to the original series. However, I think the original had a bit more magic than this one. Still, glad they were able to tell a new story with these characters and end on their own terms without a cliffhanger.
