The first two episodes since the winter break have been excellent. The show has had a soft reboot. Liz is hunting down the men that ruined her life.

Dare I say it, the writing has gotten much tighter by removing Tom and changing up the show's focus.

Agree, really like this direction it has taken. Funny even though how much they all want to hate Red, he has saved their asses. Of course they wouldn't have needed saving if they never met him though.

Pretty misguided comment Megan. Highly trained, non-civilian personnel are who we WANT to have the more powerful weapons so they can stand up to, and take out, the civilian nuts with buns.

I for one miss Tom. Like more having more Red, but there were many episodes in those first couple seasons where the get the mix right with both Tom, Red, and the rest.

It's not like she's James Spader and can actually dictate what they will and won't do to her character. She was an unknown before they cast her and the show can certainly go on without her.

I do believe all 8 of us still watching agree.

That seems to be the case with most shows in this forum. People watch them, but don’t feel any need or urgency to talk about it and it leads to an impression that no one is watching. Even several relatively popular shows have mostly dead threads. The Blacklist used to be pretty popular here, but now no one seems to keep up with it.

Damn, next season won't start until January. It will be on Fridays after Blindspot. It will run straight through with no breaks though. Hopefully not huge cliffhanger in this finale.

I still watch. Got caught up but currently am 2 episodes behind.

Like the show but find it disingenuous that she will play a vengeful agent sidestepping the law for her own personal vendettas yet won't carry a military style weapon.

Yes. I thought to myself that I will just watch the show thinking that it's actually Tom Keene, whose death was somehow faked, and this is just a new identity that he's taken on.

Wasn't there a DNA test in a previous season that showed that this Red was Liz's dad? Are they saying that this Red is not Liz's father now? What about the new sister? Was the original Red her actual father and not this Red? When exactly did he replace the old Red?
