Would you want a Game of Thrones prequel series starring Sean Bean?

i would love to see the history behind what we see now. i know there are planned spinoffs or whatever, but how awesome would a prequel be with Ned, Robert Baratheon, a little Cersei. i think it would be awesome if done right with the right people. I'm not saying we need Benioff and Weiss, but i am sure they have their people that could take the lead...

It couldn't be very far in the past. Sean Bean is not getting any younger.

Yes, I'd love to see what Ned Stark is up to after the events of the original series. Wait, what?

If they do a prequel of Robert's Rebellion(they've said they won't) they should get the guy who played young Ned last season. If Game of Thrones shows Robert vs. Rhaegar in a Bran flash back I'll be satisfied.

Plus, it being Sean Bean, they would have to kill his character during the series. This would really throw off continuity.

I voted no...we've been through the geriatric James Bond eras before, so no thanks...but any well-done fantasy series would be welcome.

The key phrase being "well-done." If what's offered is the equivalent of big-budget feature with late-night-syndicated-series quality of writing and acting, we have plenty of that to go around.

We've also seen what happens when producers try to cash in on the popularity of a property by mining & incorporating bits and pieces from other sources...The Hobbit, anyone? And some of us, at least, have seen a reduction in quality of the original series when it doesn't have excellent source material on which to rely.

I'd prefer seeing other original properties that haven't yet been adapted have a chance to reach the screen.

No. Sean Bean being in it would not work.

No. I wouldn't trust any other writers to continue the story. If Martin isn't involved, no sale.

Nope. The exiting part about the stories of Robert's Rebellion is that we weren't there. We are hearing about it from different sources. Do something completely new, please.
