I am on episode 3 and it is phenomenally hysterical. Never seen Gossip Girl, but Ed is on point. One of the best shows of 2017.

That whoever this guy is -- he's great in White Gold. Never heard of him or seen him in anything before. I had to IMDB him and saw that he was in every Gossip Girl episode. I was not familiar with him prior to this show.

Ed Westwick starred on the show Gossip Girl. OP never saw that show, but loves him on this show.

I'm on episode 4 -- but I read that season 2 will air in 2018.

I wonder how much they paid for music rights? The soundtrack is phenomenal.

Seriously! I'm also about 4 episodes in and there have been at least 2 songs I haven't heard in decades and others that just bring a huge smile to my 80's teen face.

Knocked this out the other day and it was great. The last 2 episodes were a bit deeper than what came before in terms of drama.

Series 2 will debut in 2018. I noticed that the creator's other tv series called The In-Betweeners is also on Netflix, so I will probably check that out at some point.

The Inbetweeners series was great but the 2 movies that followed were average at best. The U.S. remake was awful.

Correct. The first movie was ok... the second one was really, really bad though.

Yeah, I really liked the show and the first film was decent, but the second film was tough to get though, not good at all. I'll have to check out this series though.

I was a big fan of The Inbetweeners but this was a huge step down from that. I binged through all 12 episodes and it had some funny moments but for the most part was pretty meh.

It was no Inbetweeners, but I still enjoyed it. Well, with the exception of the 'Ronnie Junior' character. He was just an awful addition.

I liked Vincent's wife.

Re: White Gold (Netflix) from creator of Inbetweeners -- S: Ed Westwick

White Gold is more of a cousin of Inbetweeners, definitely related but a different show. I can understand how someone could not be as enamored of both. I would also rate Inbetweeners higher, but White Gold is still a terrific show.
