To throw out just one tiny gripe (there are huge ones) out of at least a hundred from this episode:

Sandor throwing the rocks. Why? What the fuck was he trying to do exactly, shoo the wights away? What possible reason was there for him to do that? Oh right, the plot needed to progress some way, somehow even if at the expense of logic and character. I've honestly read better written fan-fiction than a lot of what made up tonight's episode. It was exactly the kind of episode I had always been hoping the show would never, ever become.

Easily one of my favorite episodes of the series so far. I can't believe people are still whinging about the way time passes in the show.

I thought he was just being an impatient, pissed off brute like usual. The Hound just has that "awe F*** it" attitude. I had no issue with this at all because it seemed like it was just part of his normal character.

I enjoyed this one, but I can see where people may get turned off by some of the things that happened like super fast travel, Benjen getting there just in time, and a dragon being turned to a wight.

I was on the edge of my seat hoping for the safety of the dragons. Not sure why, but I wanted them to die the least at this point. Still love the show and will watch until the end no matter how crazy or predictable it gets.

I don't have an issue with them skipping over travel time from point a to point b when nothing story driven occurs on the trip (e.g. Greyworm ends up in Casterly Rock; Euron arriving at places).

The marathon to raven to dragons arriving was a bit much, though. It could have easily been written better and more plausible.

Agree completely. It seemed perfectly in character to me. Of all the things that people could complain about in this episode, that's one of the least valid IMO.

I thought this episode was excellent and highly entertaining. I have no issues with the accelerated pace of this season, which seems to be largely what people don't like. The only minor complaint I have is that I think they're getting a little too cute with the "he's gonna die...nope just kidding" schtick. I thought Tormund was going to bite it when he was pretty much overtaken by the undead and that would have been a real and profound loss that was commensurate with the insanity of their plan, but then he was all of a sudden pulled to safety. Then they did it again with Jon going into the water. I know it makes for "good drama" but two times in one episode is a little much for me. Nevertheless, it's just a minor quibble and didn't put a damper on how much I enjoyed this one.

Great episode! No problems with the travel. Sorry to see a dragon go down but at least we can get rid of the dumb "Jon on one dragon, Tyrion on another" fan theory. And pretty sweet that they turned one.

Season finale looks pretty epic. Can't wait!

I know everyone is on the Dany + Jon train, but personally I'd rather see Jon marry Lyanna Mormont when she comes of age. Then Longclaw would truly be home in the best way possible.

I could be wrong, but don't wights just resurrect on their own from being dead? I thought this was more like how the white walkers touch human babies and they turn into white walkers.

Good stuff. I had called that ending of the dragon getting turned weeks ago. As far as distances go -- they're wrapping shit up -- if they had taken their time the fellowship would still been on that island for another season or 2.
