Yeah, he came back. No tension. And since then he continues to get into situations that should be fatal and comes out with barely a scratch.

Yeah, it would not make any sense for him to die again. I am not a book reader, so don't know all the details, but his resurrection, the importance of his parentage, and the fact the series is called A Song of Ice and Fire makes me believe this whole story is about him and his hero's journey. So I do understand there will be no drama in his survival because I believe he will be there till the last episode alive or sacrificing himself for the greater good.
