I kinda would have like that scene to lasted a bit more with Dany questioning how and why. Besides the "did you take a knife to the heart?" its like blah, that wasnt important neither.
My personal take is that Dany was impressed that he was willing to touch Drogon and didn't appear afraid. I don't think even she realizes how big of a deal it is because nobody has really tried to pet one besides her.

We only know its a big deal because we know his lineage. She's just impressed by his bravery and that he's not automatically recoiling.

As for the comment about blonde hair, isn't that most likely due to the incestuous relationships the Targaryens kept? It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities then that Jon ends up with dark hair when they step outside the traditional family circle to make a baby.

Spoiler:
There's a theory that Tyrion is not a Lannister and that he, too, is a Targaryen. That he's a product of Aegon that mad king raping Tywin Lannister's wife.

Anyone else know how dark Tyrion's hair has gotten lately? The big deal from S1 that got Ned killed was proving that the blonde babies made by Cersei & Jamie didn't come from Robert. Tyrion having non-blonde hair, unlike the Lannister line, may be lending some visual credence.

Yeah, this show continues to be entertaining but this writing is just getting awful.
Good points, and also, didn't Dany JUST say "no more clever plans"? This is the height of "clever" plans.

And also her half-brother, which makes their sexual tension very Lannister-like.

Yeah I'm aware of that theory.

The Citadel not telling Sam about his father and brother reminded me that Sam doesn't know Jon was killed and resurrected right?

Aside from the speed of people travelling and the passage of time, the spread of information is also weird to me on this show.

Is that common knowledge outside of the Nights Watch?

Of course folks would have to wonder how he was able to leave the watch after taking the oath, but most would probably assume that the story about him being killed and coming back to life was probably bullshit.

Re: Game of Thrones (S7E05) -- "Eastwatch" -- 8/13/17

My guess is that instead of successfully taking an undead prisoner to present to Cercei / Dany, they stumble upon Benjen Stark out there and are like "Sweet! This one still has his wits about him and will come with us willingly!"

If I recall, Benjen mentioned something about not being able to pass the wall due to some magical barrier or the like, but obviously if the White Walkers are to be any real threat to the seven kingdoms, that barrier is either already destroyed due to Brans contact with the Night King, or will soon be. Many predict that the wall itself will be destroyed somehow, which would make for one hell of a final scene for the season.

I just realized that Dickon Tarley got recast.

This guy I could see potentially being related to Sam

But this guy?

Actually she has decided to drop clever and give "cunning" plans a go now.

Looks more like someone who stepped off of a pirate ship. Greyjoy, maybe?
