It's certainly watchable if you enjoy these over-the-top doom thrillers.

Compared to Zoo and Under The Dome I see your point that Salvation is the king of that mountain. If I was not interested in the cast I would walk away from the show.

I liked the 1st couple seasons of Zoo, then it went under and thankfully was killed. I never got around to watching Under the Dome.

Interesting question I'll have to ask my wife re: Salvation vs. Dome or Zoo (saw all of Dome and last 2 of Zoo) ...

I think so far (2 Eps) too many plots - US civil war 120 days before armageddon? What are they (the script writers) thinking? Go Dome or go home?

This show feels like a very long drawn out version of the early parts of the 1998 movie Armageddon, interleaved with a political show like a dumbed down West Wing.

The plot twists and characters have been so bizarre that I've been rooting for the asteroid. Now the damn asteroid is the plot twist.

The TIVO guide claimed it was only a season finale but like many fringe CBS properties, Salvation's fate is up in the air with the change in network leadership. I'd be surprised if it came back.

I have no idea what that one younger actress did to get written out of the season's main storylines. She was dumped as the main love interest for the college guy. Probably the weirdest thing about this season was art imitating life. That minor actress involved with Alison Mack's cult came on in season two to play...a cult member.

And so the "asteroid" stops ... But hopefully not the series just to see the Dome fall from the sky and cover DC ... :)

I'm not surprised, but disappointed a bit.
