Great episode. Spoilered speculation:
Spoiler:
I think Savitar killed HR, who used that tech thingie to make himself look like Iris. His rant against his own lack of skills earlier was either a fake out or was the catalyst to sacrifice himself.

What a great episode.

While I like Iris fine, it would be great if she really died and Barry didn't reset the timeline to save her. I'm assuming that HR did something with the piece of Savitar's armor. Looking forward to next week!

Holy shit!

Did that really just happen? As for the speculation, when would HR have been able to swap himself? He was talking to Cisco after Savitar already abducted Iris. He was blaming himself for opening his big mouth.

That was a really dramatic last few minutes.

Theoretically, he could have swapped out with Iris when Flash was trying to shoot Savitar with the cannon and Savitar was running around.

Swapped out by whom? Kid Flash? Jesse Quick? OVALTINE?

Great episode btw. Really chomping at the groin to see next week's resolution.

One of the best finale setups ever. Fully expect Iris to survive this season, but still in doubt how.

The use of Snart again really made the episode. Just wish Miller will bring it down a notch and then bring it back for the key line. Lately he has always been at 11. In the first few Flash appearances Ct. Cold wasn't that over the top.

Eh, the more Snart the better. Only thing that would have helped would have been having Rory along for the ride.

Great speculation. Definitely seems like they set that up with showing the tech earlier in the episode with Barry and the goodbye that he gave.

Good episode, probably one of the best of the series. Really surprised that they went as far as they did, since I think everyone was expecting the finale to deal with the final Iris/Savitar scene.

Yes. I thought this could have easily been the season finale.

Enjoyed Captain Cold. Frustrated that the writers decided that the scene w Iris must play out as Barry saw it ... Especially no one doing anything else (like perhaps Joe taking a shot at the stone etc.). Interesting speculation on the swerve - might explain the Earth 2 visit.

How would that have been even remotely possible without Savitar or Barry seeing the swap? Plus, Kid Flash was injured so he couldn't help.

I guess we won't know for sure until next week.

Would also explain making sure to include a scene where the tech that changes a person's appearance was used in this last episode during the power source heist.

Yes. I noticed that.
Spoiler:
Seems likeliest to me that Iris and HR swapped and it was Iris who told Savitar that "Iris" was on Earth-2.

Do people think Tracy will be around team Flash next season? I was surprised HR invited her.

They probably should have made Barry sacrifice something to get Captain Cold's help. That felt all too easy talking him into helping Barry.

The stuff with King Shark was inspired, though it seemed like Barry forgot he had powers during that scene. Why didn't he just run into the room and run out?

Barry couldn't run in the facility. Cisco said there was some sort of technology in the building that stopped any metahumans power from working.

As much as I like the idea of maximum Anne Dudek I doubt they are going to keep her around.

Wondering why they can't make a device that negates the effects of that device. Comics, shows etc... with powers tend to make it a bit too easy to just turn off powers.

Eh, I'd rather they do that than forget that Barry can move so fast that any enemy who is not a speedster doesn't stand a chance against him. Which happens often - for example, there is no way Killer Frost should ever be able to get the drop on him, even if he doesn't want to hurt her.

They forget every episode. Ridiculous when he gets hit by a person with normal speed. He would have to stand there for hours within his perception of time to get hit. I've watched the show with someone that thinks super speed is not that powerful...when shown correctly it's kind of hard to beat someone that can do everything while you are blinking.

Barry and Savitor had their backs to Iris for a couple of seconds while Barry was shooting at him, so the swap most likely happened then.

Jesse Quick is an option to perform the swap, but I think it would be pretty crappy to go along with a plan to trade H.R.'s life for Iris's.

Palaver 05-17-17 09:12 PM

Re: The Flash (S3E22) -- "Infantino Street" -- 5/16/17

There are few thing things pointing to H.R. being the one that got killed. Originally he was supposed to be on the roof instead of Joe. Plus him looking at the Savitar pointy thing was foreshadowing his death pretty hard.

Never mind the fact that the writers turn him into Homer Simpson level of stupid this episode. Him telling Barry about Iris's location would have been just as bad as him telling Savitar. That was the reason Barry didn't know where they took her.
