Girlboss (Netflix) -- S: Britt Robertson -- From writer of Pitch Perfect -- 4/21/17
Girlboss is inspired by the New York Times best-selling book #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, founder of the fashion brand Nasty Gal. The series centers on Amoruso (Britt Robertson), who began selling vintage clothes on eBay and, by the age of 28, had built the multi-million dollar fashion empire, Nasty Gal. Girlboss will launch on Netflix in April and is created and executive produced by Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect 1& 2, 30 Rock), who also serves as showrunner. Charlize Theron (Monster, Young Adult), Laverne McKinnonand Beth Konoof Denver & Delilah, Christian Ditter (How to Be Single) and Sophia Amoruso will also serve as executive producers. Ditter also directed several episodes of the series, that is a Netflix production and there will be 13-half hour episodes. Girlboss stars Britt Robertson (Sophia), Ellie Reed (Annie), Alphonso McAuley (Dax), Johnny Simmons (Shane) and Dean Norris (Jay).

I'll more than likely eventually check this out due to Britt Robertson.

Yeah I'll check this out (probably this summer) because of Britt. Have always been a fan of hers.
Helps that it's a 30 minute show.

Interesting timing considering what happened Sophia in real life just recently.

Am on episode 2. It's a bit grating, because Britt, as Sophia, is a pain in the ass. I don't remember the real Sophia being a pest in the book. I do like the visual aesthetic, though. It reminds me of the 70's for some reason.
Oh, and Britt is hot -- cute as a brunette, too.

I was also looking forward to watching this because I'm a fan of Britt's, so I am disappointed that the reviews are pretty negative.

It does help that each episode is under 30 minutes. I'll be done quick. Already on episode 4. It does fly by.

Wife and I watched all 13 episodes. We liked it. She liked 13 reasons why more. Britt was good. It was a witty funny show. Not as much as a chick flick as I thought it would be.

Knocked this out last night. Yeah, it definitely got better after the first couple of episodes. The supporting cast, especially Ellie Reed, were fantastic. Here's hoping Netflix renews it for a second season.

I'm not really surprised. I'm sure this series along with the 2 previous ones that got canned were a victim of the over-saturation of streaming shows/content on the market. Honestly, I didn't even get a chance to start this. Just too much on when this premiered in late April.
Netflix can crank out 20-25 new shows per year, but if people are only watching 5-10 of them, something has to go. They're not going to waste money paying for shows that no one is watching.
Also, you can tell right away the Netflix series that have lots of buzz. The Marvel shows, House of Cards, Stranger Things have lots of buzz and are heavily promoted. I don't think I saw much or any promotion for this show. I saw a few reviews, but nothing that really said this was a must see show.
