I had a feeling that the penultimate episode would be good. They always are. Awesome episode.

No real secondary story, which kept the momentum going.

Who do I want to win? Carter
or Almeida? I don't know! Haha

It has definitely improved as the series has moved along. I'm really looking forward to next week now.

I haven't tuned in to the show yet, but has Tony's role been good?

He doesn't appear until episode 7.

Let's just say his presence is limited.

This week was more entertaining without Eric's wife and brother.

However, the real-time concept for this show is so laughably. I when Eric sped off from the Pentagon to some random ass farm house in the boonies in less than 5 minutes.

I do like Tony being an "I don't give a shit" gun for hire.

I'm not expecting FOX to give this another season, but I hope they will go out next week with a bang than whimper. Next week's finale is directed by Stephen Hopkins, so hopefully that's a positive sign that they are putting everything into the last episode.

Events happen in real time.

At 9:58 the football field is empty and she was just kidnapped. At 10:04 there are about a dozen emergency vehicles on the field, tents set up and flood lights everywhere.

Andy said that the safe house/farm house was a few miles away from the Pentagon.
So yea Eric could be there in five minutes time especially with no traffic at that time of the night.
So in this case, real-time concept works out. Now the example that Matty mentioned - LOL there!

Matty's example was indeed bad.

But, if you look at Google maps, there is no area similar to where the safe house was supposedly located that would even be a 5 minute drive from the Pentagon. It's mostly city area, a golf course, tourist landmarks, and the Arlington cemetery.

It's obvious they didn't do research on the actual locations in the DC area.

Sort of like frogmen in the Potomac tunneling into the White House?

Yeah this show almost lost me in the middle, but it's actually gotten pretty good.

While I'm really glad to see Tony back, I'm not thrilled with what they did with him. I guess I would have preferred some sort of redemption, rather than just killing people or whatever (like the way he executed that guy on the ground). And if they kill him off (for real this time), I'll be real unhappy.

Good episode but I was really hoping Eric would torture the Director a bit. Jack Bauer would have knee-capped him for sure to get info. Not to mention that Bauer would laugh at 4 people trying to come at him.
