Wonder what took so long? Same with season 3; the show seems to have a pretty wide audience, considering the mayhem that happened with McDonald's last summer. Wasn't it over a year between seasons 2 and 3? Looking like season 4 may be close to a 2 year gap.

My guess is that the creators wanted the extra time to write it.

No, that wasn't it. This was all on the network not pulling the trigger. Creator mentioned on Twitter today that they already have episodes fully written, ready to go.

Yeah, season 4 is mostly in the can - the hold up to airing it has been the lack of renewal, which was due to ownership/contractual negotiations.
