Interesting.

I wonder if they already shot the entire season.

They are offering to listen and hear what he has to say instead of just jumping to conclusions and firing him.

She was a pretty bad host on AGT.

I've watched DWTS regularly over the years, but tuned out last season because they dumped my favorite pro (Sharna) and because of the inclusion of Sean Spicer among the contestants. And, really, because none of the 'stars' interested me that much. The shows been on the decline for a long time. Now, ditching Bergeron and replacing him with Banks pretty much kills this show for me--unless they happen to bring Sharna back.
And Sharna is back.

Any indication why they got rid of them besides a cryptic "new direction" announcement? Seems Bergeron was blind sided.

I only watched one season because Lindsey Stirling was on it (and should have won).

I have no idea who 3/4's of this cast is. Just going by who I do recognize, I give a slight edge to McLean?

Carole Fuckin' Baskin

Yeah, I don't know who most of those people are, though.

re: Dancing With The Stars

It is now a Disney + exclusive starting this Fall.

I would be pissed if one of my favorite shows was on the 4 letter networks and then moved to a streaming service and getting charged a fee to watch something that was free before.

I wonder if they'll be able to keep the same level of "stars" on D+.

Is there a level any lower besides “not famous”?

They have former Olympians on that show and would not put them on the same level as the D List celebrities or call them losers.

re: Dancing With The Stars

Has anyone watched?

This season has been very good.
The bad dancers were quickly voted out
The last batch of celebs have become really good dancers.

The full two hour format has allowed the show to breath and the judges have more time to give their thoughts.
Bruno physically assaults Hough several times a show and it’s funny.

Been one of the best seasons in years.

It's been a terrific season. Apparently one of the old producers returned to the show (which is why Mark Ballas has returned). Bringing on Alfonso as co-host has made Tyra more tolerable. I just hope Vinnie doesn't become the "Bobby Bones" of this season (a mediocre dancer who hangs in to the end because he has more fans than the better dancers).

Agree about Vinnie but he does seem very likable.

He seems to be making a sincere effort, which I appreciate. He's certainly doing about as well as I could do. However, he's sort of reached a plateau and I think in terms of skill level, he should have gone before Jordan or Joseph. For me, he was on an equal level with Jessie. Of course, popularity is an important element, and the factor of the Disney+ audience and the "Live" voting is hard to evaluate. I have tried to vote via my pc and while both of my browsers will log me in to the site, neither will allow me to place a vote.

Re: Dancing With The Stars

Tyra Banks is leaving

Julianne Hough and Alfsonso Ribeiro will be the new hosts.

Maybe it could have been her brother as the co-host but maybe he is a judge?

Too bad Hough finally got it when the show is not as popular as it was in the 2010's.

I like Hough, but I'd rather watch her dance than host. Not that she'll be a bad host, but I'll miss watching her dance.

Re: Dancing With The Stars

There's other nights. They are plenty of other shows that air on Monday nights on ABC...The Bachelor stuff and The Good Doctor. Saturday or Sunday could be a good night for it.

Re: Dancing With The Stars

ABC has a select few MNF matchups but they show the Bachelor in that time slot.

Agree maybe it skews to a older demographic and Fri-Sun or one of those 3 nights they could slot it in.

Your wish has come true. The show is moving back to ABC: https://tvline.com/2023/05/02/dancin...ere-date-dwts/

Not sure if this anything to do with them thinking that the writers strike will last through the fall or if this was going to happen anyway.
