According to FOX's CEO Dana Walden, it sounds like 24: Legacy is on the bubble.

She likes the show, but she also is disappointed with the ratings and how the Super Bowl launch didn't really help it.

Finally! A classic 24-type episode!
I did not expect Nicole and the brother to get kimnapped. Thought that storyline was wrapping up, but good twist and I like where it's going.
And the terrorists finally do something big this season. The threat finally feels real!
Eric Carter needs Jack Bauer's help!

Looks like 24 will be bringing the stupid. Not the kidnapping itself (though it seems I missed how they tracked down Nicole), but Eric will no doubt not be telling anybody about the ransom demand (other than the hacker), because it would be too smart to have CTU's resources on his side.

On the plus side, after that attack completely wiped out the Amira/brother/science teacher subplot.
I was surprised to see Bhin Khalid's men kidnap Nicole and Isaac. Too bad Isaac's useless men got plowed down.
and now Eric has to go rogue yet again

Looks like you know who will be finally appearing.

And yeah, since he was willing to steal the schematics, no doubt he will keep people in the dark in order to save his family.
Despite seeing it coming, I liked that they actually had her push the button. Way too often they are unbelievably able to save the day.

This has been such a let down. It is all so boring and run of the mill.
The really missed an opportunity with not turning Yvonne Strahovski character from Live Another Day into the new lead of the franchise.

OK, how much time elapsed between the news report and CTU showing up at that building? 15 mins? TV shows give bad guys miraculous abilities to vanish at a moments notice.
Also the terrorists after the brother and wife felt out of left field ...
On the fence.

I'll see this through to the end (there are only 12 episodes, right?) but this show is seriously lacking. Carter isn't even close to the badass that Bauer was, and that's what made the show.

I called the kidnapping to my wife as I was watching it. Classic 24. Still enjoying it but it pales in comparison to previous incarnation.

I don't mind Hawkins that much, but I agree with dex14 that the Producers of 24 dropped the ball and seriously missed out on signing Yvonne Strahovski to carry the series without Jack. Plus, in all those interviews post-Live Another Day, she seemed genuinely interested when asked the question, but the problem was they never asked.
It's quite disappointing considering that Manny Coto and Evan Katz were also the head writers and showrunners for Live Another Day and created the character.

Everything is disappointing. The story is so bland and offers nothing new to the franchise.
It may be sacrilege to say... but I think they could do away with being deeply tied to politics and CTU, etc. The producers keep saying that the "24 hour format" is the main draw of the show... OK... so branch out. 24 was great (originally) because the stories weren't these big global terrorist threats. The first season was a generally small self contained plot. In further subsequent seasons, it got more ridiculous to me. I know Season 5 was critically acclaimed, but I never really cared for the President being behind it all. Ironic in this day and age though.
I feel like I've watched 6 episodes of this that haven't really done anything at all. I can only hope the final 6 episodes save this with some ties to the originally series, but I don't feel confidant in that.

Also, why the heck does Carter keep sniffling? Had a cold during production?
