That was fun but I would have liked to have seen a full out war.

A full out war would almost certainly be too expensive.

I wish we could ship HR to Earth 2 and keep Harry around. I think he's a better character, and, really, if Jesse is here now why wouldn't he stick around.

the gorilla CGI was dodgy at best... although some of the close up face shots were really nice.

Having the original Harry back certainly made it obvious that they need to let the actor just dump playing HR.

The two episodes were better than most other episodes we have got from this show, but in many ways it was still let down given how little of it made sense. Way too many important points just glossed over, but I guess that it a given when the idea they are doing something like switching worlds int he first place.

At least the eventual conclusion made sense. Good way to resolve everything so it can allow more Grodd in the future AND not have to deal with the rest of the gorillas.

Twas OK. Sometimes it feels they play fast and loose as to timing (daytime at the nuke site and then suddenly it is night back in the city). Also what in the heck were the apes doing all that time on Earth-1? Walking from points A to B? (Also, just the Police as backup despite a General being attacked? Where's the Army or even National Guard ... Anyhoo.)

A bit disappointed with the second part. Really sloppy for the most part.

I did shed a tear at Barry's proposal tho. Good back story for the ring. Just hope Barry doesn't save Iris from Savitar only to have her die at Reverse Flash's hand later on.

Spoiler:

Note: Iris was dressed as Batgirl for a costume party.

I still enjoyed it. Kind of hard not to be disappointed since the set up was so epic. But still, seeing Salovar and Grodd fight was worth it. Cavanaugh stole the show again this week. I feel that him constantly being a dick to HR was a way for the audience who hate him to relate.

Kind of surprised Jesse stayed on Earth 1 and Harry went back to Earth 2. Not sure what she's going to do here unless she eventually goes to Legends.

Also liked seeing Earth 19's Flash.

My guess is that eventually both she and Wally go to Earth 2. I like Jesse a lot more than Wally, but the cast is too cluttered with two speedsters much less three.

Given that they can portal faster between 2 earths than it takes me to walk 3 blocks to work, does it even matter?

On Earth-19 Gypsy was talking to another speedster called ACCELERATED MAN.
Grant Morrison created him for his MULTIVERSITY series.

Overall good episode with Grodd-Soloivar showdown being a highlight although it was too brief.

Look remember the days when we watched the original Heroes series and were happy when once in every 5 episodes there was a 5 second display of super powers like someone flying ? That's all they could afford with the FX back then

Now we have a ton of FX in a Superhero tv show, not all of it is gonna be A1.

I thought the Gorilla Grodd fight looked pretty great for television, probably the best CGI we've had from this series. The CGI on Flash looks more suspect when two speedsters end up fighting at superspeed.

I did have to roll my eyes at the whole 'I can't kill' cliché bit Berry went off on. Grodd tried to nuke the city killing thousands/millions. 'So maybe everyone in the city dies including your beloved Iris but your conscious is clean.' Goddam 'hero'.

I think some misunderstand that philosophy when spouted by a hero like Superman or the Flash. It's more a reflection of their value system than an absolute dictate that guides their behavior. If there were no other options to stop a nuclear attack or whatever, I bet Barry carries it out.

Though the writers are heavily pushing the idea that Barry won't kill anyone this season. Makes me wonder what's going to happen down the line...

I could see them on Legends of Tomorrow.

Yes, but they're both overwhelmingly powerful compared to the rest since they've gimped Firestorm into irrelevance by finding ever more elaborate excuses for Stein and Jackson not to become Firestorm, and I think they add little to the team by themselves.

I would guess Wally stays on The Flash and Jesse ends up on Legends.
