RIP Ben Grimes. Guess he served his purpose. Actually I'm glad he's gone, so now Carter can be on his own now for the final 7 episodes.
The climatic sequence in Gabriel's compound was cool, although it was too short.
The Isaac and Nicole part could have easily been deleted and nothing would have been missed.
The part with Amira and her deranged brother worked for me because it seemed like it was a set up for next week as the next week promo hinted.
Regarding Henry lying: isn't there a truth serum they can inject in him? Or give him a lie detector test?

Yeah I think I'm done. Tried to watch last night and just doesn't interest me with the new cast. Looks like American Ninja Warrior All-Stars got higher ratings that 24 last week.
Better luck next time Fox.

I'm not particularly enjoying this or engaged at all. This is just the same thing that I've seen before with actors and characters I don't care about. There is nothing fresh being offered here.

I missed last weeks episode and decided to watch this and was kind of lost. I guess the science teacher must have been killed off. Biggest problem with this show is it's just boring and doesn't do anything particularly well. Hopefully when HE comes back the show starts picking up.

Amira's brother picked her up from the hospital after she killed Drew.
Key things you missed from last week was Henry confessing to John about framing Nilaa.
and then Carter breaking out Grimes from CTU after getting the weapons schematics that Andy stole for him to use as leverage for Gabriel. Gabriel is allegedly involved with Bin Khalid's son. I believe Gabriel is an arms dealer.
Amira and her brother are directly involved with Bin Khalid's son and their band of terrorists.

Science Teacher wasn't killed off. He was last seen at the school 2 episodes ago.

Cable went out last night, so had to watch it today. First time I didn't watch "24" live since a Day 4 episode (2005). A tip for streaming viewers: stream it via a tablet (FOX NOW app) instead of streaming through a regular desktop computer. The app makes a world of difference! The ads kept getting stuck when I tried to watch on the computer. Switched to the tablet and it was seamless.
My review - meh, despite the action at the end, mediocre episode.
The Nicole and brother storyline is finished. The writers need to just let it go. It's done. There's nothing to resolve. Aisha bolted.
Hassan and the sister's storyline is still interesting, due to the father situation.
"24" is getting lazy by adding only action during the last few minutes of each episode. Seriously, need to mix it up.
Too bad about Grimes. I was starting to like that character.
Should have kept Gabriel for a few more episodes. He seemed like a decent villain.

This show is DOA for me - I keep waiting for it to come to life, but it's not happening. The cast is fine, all the 24 beats are hit, but the magic isn't there. There hasn't been any suspense generated, and I wonder if it's because I care nothing about the characters - they seem to be a bunch of strangers playing 24.

Agreed. When they first set up that storyline I figured the terrorists would try to get to Nicole to get at Carter, but that they wouldn't count on how badass the gang was (thinking all Americans are weak). Turns out they're not so badass.

I agree about it being lackluster due to not knowing the characters, thus, not caring for them. I thought a few episodes would allow me to like a few characters and root for them.
I was starting to like Grimes, due to his complex backstory, but then they killed him.
So far, I give the series a 5.5 out of 10 on the IMDb scale. I don't hate it, but it's not entertaining me. I consider anything 6 and above at least "good" and "entertaining".
If this wasn't "24", I would have dropped it by now. But I'm a dedicated fan.
