DC's Legends of Tomorrow (S2E12) -- "Camelot/3000" -- 2/21/17

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21

DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

"Camelot/3000" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

ALL FOR ONE - The Legends continue their quest to hunt down the Spear of Destiny before the pieces fall into the hands of the Legion of Doom. The Legends discover that pieces of the Spear are each being guarded in different time periods by members of the JSA. Their first stop is the future where they find Dr. Mid-Nite (guest star Kwesi Ameyaw) which eventually leads them to the past and King Arthur's Camelot, where Stargirl (guest star Sarah Grey) is protecting her piece of the Spear. In order to protect the Spear shard from the now-evil Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), the Legends must join forces with the Knights of the Round Table. Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Antonio Negret directed the episode written by Anderson MacKenzie (#212). Original airdate 2/21/2017.

One of my favorite DC books by far. Overlooked, and definitely worth a read.

Re: DC's Legends of Tomorrow (S2E12) -- "Camelot/3000" -- 2/21/17

This episode was alright but I wasn't a fan overall. Too many things that didn't work for me and not enough that did. Seeing Stargirl again was nice but it seemed like a missed opportunity for Merlin to not be Merlyn. If Vixen doesn't stick around I wouldn't mind her joining the team. Ray was fun as was Mick being the key to the mind control.

It's starting to become a bit ridiculous that every fictional/historical figure is a closet lesbian who wants Sara. So far she's made out with Guinevere, all of Salem and another woman earlier this season. Not even counting the two of three in season one. It seems even more ridiculous since no one else on the show wants to get with any of these figure. Also "Sara Lance a lot" was probably the most cornball thing this show has ever done.

The Star Wars reference was neat though. Also feels like a missed opportunity by not having Morgan Lafey and Etrigan pop up in medieval times.

Kinda bummed they didn't use the actual Camelot 3000 storyline.

Yeah, I'm a fan of the book too so this was only the second episode I've watched, but there was no connection.

I thought it was a pretty clever way to introduce mythical characters in a historical setting. It's easy seeing Ray being a huge fan of Sir Galahad.

I'm fairly sure they had Sara hit on the queen for one reason - to set up that joke about Lancelot in Arthurian legend.

It's the only thing on this show that makes any sense to me

Sara made out with Queen Anne of Austria, wife of Louis XIII, in the first episode. They used the Three Musketeers time period as the backdrop.

at Queen Guinevere being a closeted bi-sexual. Sara Lance, the bi-sexual space whore corrupted history.

Thought it was a fun episode. Nice to see Star Girl again.

The little lightsaber battle between Darhk and Ray was kind of cool, especially having the sound effects.

An amusingly silly episode, with a lot of fun bits ... but I have to say the actress playing Stargirl was terrible, very stiff and bland. Shame they didn't try to capture the comics character personality a bit better.

Disappointed it wasn't Camelot in 3000 AD per the comic, but otherwise OK. Intensity vs. intellect was amusing.

Lame that STARGIRL was Merlin.
And they killed off another JSAer, Dr. Mid-Nite.

Worst episode of Season 2.
