What a great finale, I still wish it was returning, but loved the way it wrapped, thanks for a nice series Pete!

It definitely ended as if it were the series finale.

Getting back together with Ali was a little forced and really came out of nowhere. I guess both being single was reason enough for them to get back together?
And it also gives Pete's psycho ex some credibility thinking that his heart was still with Ali - which really wasn't the case. She was a psycho and their breakup wasn't Pete's fault.

I don't know about them "getting back together" and being "forced". She was around and in his life all season still. Just because he had good night and gave her a kiss doesn't mean they're in a full fledged relationship. Maybe it is rekindling? Maybe it won't work? Maybe their better as friends?

HOLMES: You know, I’ve spent a lot of time wondering about Pete and Ali, and if they would be romantic, or if they would be friends. That’s one of the things that I don’t even think, at this point, I’m the authority on that. Because this is where the show is wrapping up. It ends in that active way where now, it’s up to you to sort of imagine what might happen. I know that they’re sort of connected, that they have a deep heart connection, that they’re in it together, that they represent something that the other person might lack. Like, Ali has a lot more integrity. She has a lot more artistic feel about standup. Pete has what Pete has, I don’t know what you call it, a Golden Retriever-like enthusiasm for doing whatever? (laughs)

HOLMES: I think they sort of need each other, and all I can say is in my imagination, they’re going to be in each other’s lives no matter what. If it’s romantically or professionally or as friends, you don’t throw something like that away, but it seems to me more fun to be like, “Let’s leave it ambiguous, and let the people sort of imagine how they would like it to end.” Because, frankly, that is how it ends. How it ends in your imagination is how it ends. That’s kind of a fun way to empower the viewer, and be like, “You have it now. We had it for this, and now it’s yours.”

Pete Holmes subbed for Larry King on the RT Network.

Hope he comes back with a new TV show and not a online or streaming show.

How can HBO cancel a show with the "Comedy Sex God?

He has a new book coming out this week.

I put this on my vision board, so maybe it'll happen if I ask Ray Romano.

But really damn good show. HBO really hates their damn comedies.

I don't have HBO so I never caught the show. Comedy Sex God is a wonderful book, however, highly recommended.

How he outlived Bob Saget and Norm McDonald is crazy.
