That notes this is a Netflix production, which may be it's saving grace.

Just finished a 2-day binge. Another really good season. I hope there will be another season and they can decide if it'll be the final one. It'll be nice for them to end it their way.

Finished it over the course of a week. I like to pace myself.
I enjoyed it again... lots of funny stuff.
Once again, I love Abby and Eric - just so funny together. The actress playing Abby is really cute (it's ok, she's 23) - even with all those freckles.

damn - seemed that this was the most likely outcome but it felt like there was more entertainment to be had here.
I'm honestly not sure I like this business model - I like the shorter seasons but I also liked the idea of having more freedom to get the whole story out and it just didn't feel like the show as done to me.

Bah. Was really hoping it would get renewed.. I was enjoying it. They'd throw some lines in about the area every now and then that only us locals would pick up on that were pretty funny and some of the on-location stuff was neat to see (like the skate park). Oh well

Netflix is really starting to piss me off. They're getting too good at this business of giving us really good shows that we get invested in, then just cutting them off at the knees, and we get no resolution. Personally, I'm about ready to cancel. I actually wonder if getting everyone together and cancelling at the same time for a couple of months would send them any kind of message. You cancel us, we cancel you.

I'd be down. I defend them a lot, but they keep shitcanning the stuff I watch.

I did cancel and I told them why that cancelling this was the last straw. They have way too many series now, too many imports, and the quality suffers(see black summer)
plus us I don’t agree with charging based on your resolution what is this 2010?
gonna pick up HBO for a bit they have decent stuff to watch, they are not unsuitable of cancelling their stuff but hey at least they learn the error, cough cough Deadwood

I now have to wonder what will happen to Stranger Things. The creators have said they planned on it running for 4 or 5 seasons, but with Netflix's cancellation happy attitude the last year that might not happen. In any event, I freakin' hate this business model. They're killing the good stuff but haven't added anything remotely entertaining.

This trend of Netflix's is probably gonna continue for quite a while longer, where they strictly look at each show from the bean counter's perspective only, and does not even give a single fuck about the quality of the show or the creative direction it's headed. Obviously, every single TV/streaming show will rise in production cost every year, but Netflix will not even flinch for one second if any shows' costs rises above what they have set internally when it comes time to make a renewal decision and cut it. This will make them very profitable in the short term, since they already have all the regular subscribers' money and is only working hard to get anyone new to sign up. Because there is no way they can even claim that a show such as Daredevil was "unpopular", but in their internal evaluation of the rising production cost vs. whatever subscribers that were there only for Daredevil still makes it "unprofitable". I am sure that Netflix already anticipated losing some subscribers with the cancellation of each show, but in the grand schemes of things they are not really hurt by that and still profits from the cancellation. This will most likely continue for at least another 1-2 years, before Netflix really start feeling the effects of loss of subscribers because they were pissed that their favorite shows were cancelled and walked away. On the other hand, maybe Netflix will not be hurting at all because they will continue to put out new stuff to lure in new subscribers to offset the loss of current ones...

With this new profit over quality attitude that Netflix seems to be embracing, they could easily find themselves left by the wayside....like a certain Blockbuster Video.

Yea. It’s a pretty good show. I just started it yesterday. Worth a binge. But I’m not surprised it is cancelled.

That's a drag. This is one of the few comedies Netflix has produced that I've enjoyed.
