Man Seeking Woman (FXX) -- Season 3 Thread -- premieres 1/4/16
Man Seeking Woman will premiere its 3rd season on Wednesday, January 4 at 10:30 PM ET/PT on FXX. Man Seeking Woman is back with a surreal new season about the life-and-death stakes of dating. "Josh Greenberg" (Jay Baruchel) has battled a lot in his quest for love (flesh-eating monsters, homicidal aliens). But this season will see him face his toughest challenge yet: a serious, long-term relationship. Together, Josh and Lucy (Katie Findlay) will take on anniversaries, merging friend groups, ruthless drug lords, friendly forest creatures, student loans and even God himself. In order to make it, they'll have to work together and learn to live their lives as a team. The series also stars Eric Andre (The Eric Andre Show) as "Mike," Josh's confident and daring best friend; and Britt Lower (Unforgettable) as "Liz," Josh's intimidating older sister. Man Seeking Woman is based on Simon Rich's book of short stories, The Last Girlfriend on Earth. Rich created the series and also serves as Executive Producer/Showrunner. Jonathan Krisel, Andrew Singer and Lorne Michaels, and Broadway Video also serve as Executive Producers. Man Seeking Woman is produced by FX Productions.

Hopefully the girlfriend will be there the whole season. Was getting tired of Josh striking out all the time last season. Sure, that's the premise of the show, but at some point, you want to see him happy (for an extended period). So hopefully this season will be it.

Solid first ep. Like the addition of the new gf. sort of self-contained segments with the immigration and Guyana bits.

This was one of the most inspired episodes in the show's brief history. The whole 'illegal boyfriend' stuff was funny and then they had the girlfriend killing off her friend since she discovered their messy place.

The Popcorn/Passive Aggressive Activity episode was one of my favorites. It's mostly based on reality and rang ridiculously true. Plus the work they did on the Wild Things was pretty good for an obscure show on an obscure channel.

When this show hits, it's incredibly original and hysterical. The problem is that it's a sketch-comedy show at its core, which makes episodes hit-or-miss.

I don't think any other show I watch right now makes me literally laugh out loud so much every episode. I just watched the last episode, loved the beginning bit about asking for permission for anal sex

So with Josh marrying Lucy in tonight's season finale, it has to double as a series finale as well right? Doesn't really make sense to continue the show if the main character is no longer seeking a woman. I'm assuming this is it. Loved the series.

I guess it's a wait and see, FXX is selling it as a standard Season Finale. Plus this show is all over the place so who knows what they could do to extend it, I wouldn't put it past them to do a full Woman Seeking Man season, or switch leads, or have something happen between the two of them.

That looked like a series finale to me. Though it's a comedy series, so Josh could get divorced in the first episode if they brought it back.

I'd be open to a Woman Seeking Man spinoff, since the couple of episodes they did of that were really funny.
But instead of a usual spinoff (where Josh and Lucy would just do small cameos), have them appear 30-40% of the time, while the main focus is on the sister seeking a man.
