It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FXX) -- Season 12 Thread -- premieres 1/4/16
Episode 1 / Production #1208 - "The Gang Turns Black" (Airs January 4, 10 PM ET/PT) After an electric heating blanket shorts out while the gang watches the Wiz they look in the mirror and realize they've turned black. They have to figure out how to get back to being themselves by going through all the classic body switch movie shenanigans they encounter. Written by Charlie Day, Glen Howerton and Rob McElhenney; Directed by Matt Shakman.

Great episode! Dare I say this was brilliant in respect of straddling today's racial problems? They covered every social problem between the races while still being non-partisan and not look like they were favoring either viewpoint. Only a show like this could do this type of episode as no major network would have the balls in fear of offending somebody.

Love the show. Hated this episode. Just hated it.

Thought this episode was fantastic. Pretty much had a grin on my face throughout its entirety. A surprise season opener - looking forward to seeing how the season plays out.

I thought it was ok... there was definitely some funny stuff, but I prefer they do a "normal" episode instead (well, normal by Sunny's standards anyway). They did stuff like this a few times last season and it didn't do much for me.

I agree on the ending. The payoff of Frank telling the whole park he had AIDS was hilarious.

IMO this was top 3 funniest Sunny's ever. I laughed out loud numerous times. This season is 2 for 2.
