The Celebrity Apprentice (NBC) -- now with Schwarzenegger -- 2016

How do you think it'll be? The best thing about the show was the board room, but it kinda got predictable and his decisions seemed like they were based on ratings and popularity rather than competition merit.

Who would you like to see head the Apprentice episodes? I'd like to see Larry Gagosian, Anna Wintour, Lady Gaga, or David Geffen.

Re: The Apprentice without Donald Trump

Is that going to happen? NBC just announced they are cutting ties with Trump. I assume he's an EP on the Apprentice. My guess is they will can the show and find some other way to allow us to watch D-List celebrities interact with each other.

In addition, as Mr. Trump has already indicated, he will not be participating in “Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC.

Celebrity Apprentice is licensed from Mark Burnett’s United Artists Media Group and that relationship will continue, NBC said.

I stand corrected. I'm surprised he doesn't have a piece of the show, or if he does, that NBC is still willing to work with him despite publicly "cutting ties."

Re: The Apprentice without Donald Trump

Yeah, I'm not sure how they could continue the show on, even without him, and not still be feeding some green backs to him... Which would be not cutting ties.

If Trump's campaign lasts any significant amount of time (unlikely), the show probably would have created some equal time headaches for NBC anyway.

Re: The Apprentice without Donald Trump

They can do the same show with another company. I expect when NBC means they're cutting ties, they mean they won't be doing the show with Trump's organization anymore, either.

Martha Stewart? Oh, wait...

I would love for them to give it to Rosie O'Donnell just to drive Trump crazy.

OK, he doesn't head a corporation, but as someone who knows the game, its ins & outs, and knows BS when he sees it (Omarosa)... I'd like to see Piers Morgan get the gig.

Howard Stern is leaving America's Got Talent and hinted at a new TV gig last week...

NBC had already said it would not air the show until his campaign had run its course. But, I mean, the show is about working for the Trump Organization. What's the point now??

Re: The Apprentice without Donald Trump

Can't they just keep the show going with Trump's kids? They're very well established at this point. They could all be there in the boardroom and decide who's fired.

Extra! hinted at this well and it's by far an even stupider idea than cancelling the show outright. Trump has some really dofus side and some redeeming values. Whereas, his kids are all dofus without the redeeming side. At least Trump can say he "worked" for his successes. There is nothing worse than getting advises and told what to do from a bunch of silver plate spoiled brats. The best contributions the kids have ever made on the show were uttering "You made the right decision" to their father.

They could...but then NBC is lying about "cutting ties" with Trump, because he'd be seeing a cut of profits.

Then rotate out the previous winners.

Re: The Apprentice without Donald Trump

The next time you watch "Celebrity Apprentice," the probability is ... the person doing the firing will be a minority.

TMZ has learned, a minority host is being "seriously considered" in the wake of NBC's decision to remove all things Trump from the network. One thing is certain ... Trump will not be returning to the show.

The minority host idea we're told is an opportunity to make a powerful statement discrediting Trump's campaign platform on immigration. Toward that end, the most powerful statement would be making a Mexican or Mexican American the host. That's the most logical scenario, but all we know is that the likely scenario now is a minority at the head of the boardroom.

NBC has made it clear ... Trump is now persona non grata.

Jay-Z.
Dr. Dre.

I could see Mark Cuban doing it, too, but he's probably under contract with Shark Tank.

"The Donald" is a scion just like his kids. Don't be under the illusion that he started with nothing.

Kevin O'Leary would work too. He even has the catchphrase. I fear you are right though about being under contract.

Mark Cuban would be great. He has a good personality for it. I wouldn't like O'Leary. His schtick is getting annoying on Shark Tank. I don't think I'd like it for CA.

Since they seem deadset on going on the minority route, Oprah would be perfect.

Mark Cuban would be great...but I'm assuming his Shark Tank contract with Disney prevents him from doing any other reality shows.

I always liked Ivanka... she's the only one there that had any brains.

They could always try and get Vince McMahon
