That surprises me. What was your generation's Saturday morning lineup, David?

Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: SATURNING MORNING SHEEP (1980s Cartoons)

I think we had this same situation last time there was a Saturday Morning Cartoon sheep, but I remember the vast majority of these shows as weekday afternoon shows, rather than Saturday Morning Shows.

Ah, I thought the live action Teddy Ruxpin movie spawned the cartoon.

I have no memory of a live action Teddy Ruxpin movie.

We didn't have TV. We just sat in the living room and stared at a pile of rocks. While eating a bowl of rocks.

Seriously, it was a lot of Hanna-Barbera and Looney Tunes.

I was actually very confident in most of my slams for this game, and so far, they have been pretty good, and that's why I'm in first, but I only have one more slam in play, and some questionable answers yet to come, so we'll see if I can hang on.

Not my answer, but he was one of my favorite figures. I loved the interchangeable weapon/arm and moving jaw.

There was a Baby Smurf? What am I saying, OF COURSE there was a smurfing Baby Smurf. They can't even smurf because they don't have smurfs and smurfs, but of course there was a baby. That was when the cartoon jumped the smurf.

I don't recall what my other slams are, but I'm wondering how I didn't slam some of these. I guess that leaves a few more in play for me ... [licks his lips and dreams of the taste of victory]

I've never been this high this late in the game, but I had a good feeling about this game. [braces himself for the heartless dashing of dreams of Sheep victory]

Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: SATURNING MORNING SHEEP (1980s Cartoons)

11) Name a member of the Super Friends who was created specifically for the cartoon (in other words, did NOT originate from the comics).

A couple of matches, and some unfortunate (and amusing) uniques here.

First, an incorrect unique:
Spoiler:

sleepyhead55 captain caveman 0

This next character WAS a Super Friend, but was created in the comics, not the cartoon:
Spoiler:

story Cyborg 0

Next, a CORRECT answer that's unfortunately unique:
Spoiler:

Quack El Dorado 0

This next answer WOULD have had a few matches, if the answer had been narrowed down to one:
Spoiler:

Lord Zarak Wonder Twins 0

Lastly, another correct but sadly unique answer:
Spoiler:

wishbone Gleek 0

Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: SATURNING MORNING SHEEP (1980s Cartoons)

Yeah, I didn't remember anybody from SuperFriends except the core Justice Leaguers and the Wonder Twins. Even with the image, I still have absolutely no memory of Apache Chief.

Glad I picked the right one and got at least a few matches though.

My lead was very short lived

I wasn't sure if Apache Chief was in comics before but I should have just answered anyway. Ineck

Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: SATURNING MORNING SHEEP (1980s Cartoons)

12) REVERSE: Name a Muppet that appeared as a baby in “Muppet Babies.”

I think this reverse question got more matches than any of our regular questions. AND we have a bootsy. There are gonna be lots of unhappy sheep.

But let's start with a surprising unique:
Spoiler:

story Miss Piggy -10

And another...
Spoiler:

Crocker Jarmen Robin (Kermit's nephew) -10

And one more...
Spoiler:

sleepyhead55 Fozzie Bear -10

Our last unique, which the player sadly slammed:
Spoiler:

The Cow Kermit {sd} 0

Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: SATURNING MORNING SHEEP (1980s Cartoons)

13) Name a television commercial OR live-action television show that spawned a 1980s cartoon series.

I'm glad this was a sheep question, because I'm not even sure how correct some of these answers are. LOTS of uniques this round, with only three shows getting matches.

Spoiler:

sleepyhead55 The A Team 0
Well, there was a Mr. T cartoon, but pretty sure no A-Team cartoon...

Next...
Spoiler:

Quack My Pet Monster 0

And...
Spoiler:

majorjoe23 Dukes of Hazzard/The Dukes 0

Followed by...
Spoiler:

starman9000 My Little Pony 0

And another...
Spoiler:

mwbmis Happy Days 0

Moving on...
Spoiler:

Crocker Jarmen Star Trek 0

Sigh...
Spoiler:

A-aron Hulk Hogan's Rockin Wrestling 0

Last but also least...
Spoiler:

Finally, some sheep stood together:

Spoiler:

Abob Teff Punky Brewster -2
story Punky Brewster -2

Two sheep took a cue from the previous question:
Spoiler:

wishbone Muppet Babies {sd} -4
DaveNinja muppet babies -2

Which makes our sheepiest answer:
Spoiler:

The Cow ALF -4
Obi-Wan Jabroni ALF -4
Lord Zarak ALF -4
TheBang ALF -4
