So Russell and Rhys both get nominations, but the Americans isn't nominated for best drama?!

Glad to see the Stranger Things nom.

Bit surprised Winona got nominated. Most people here felt she was the worst part of the show.

A little surprised that Tatiana Maslany wasn't nominated, especially after finally winning an Emmy. Certainly, I felt she was better than Winona Ryder, at least, and I haven't seen enough of the others to compare.

Is that unusual, an Emmy winner not even nominated for a Golden Globe?

So is Eva Green not eligible or is it a travesty that she wasn't nominated for Penny Dreadful?

And Narcos was more deserving than Stranger Things.

Agreed.

I thought Stranger Things was ok - but was very overrated.

Narcos was fantastic from top to bottom. I'm sure half the show being in a foreign language played a factor in its snub.

It's a crime that The Americans isn't nominated for Best Drama. I enjoyed Stranger Things, but I feel it's a bit overrated when it gets nominated for a Golden Globe. It was good, but it wasn't THAT good.

I could see The Crown winning as the Globes always like to pick a new show every year (I still remember Party of Five winning in 1995 in it's 1st season).

And no Kyle Chandler for Best Actor in a Drama for Bloodline? I know Bloodline has more of a cult following like me, but he is dynamite on that show.

Re: 2017 Golden Globe Nominations - TV edition

This Is Us nominated

Only with half a first season aired? That's why I don't take the Golden Globes seriously.

And this is coming from someone whose favorite show is "24". Kiefer Sutherland won best TV Drama Actor in 2002. At that point, "24" aired half its first season.
