Odds that Captain Reynolds catches Scott’s eye. I say pretty good. ;)

TVLine says that Scott and Stonebridge will appear in 2 episodes.

Here's a cast promo photo with Sully and Phil with the new cast.

That heart scene. Ooof.

Re: Strike Back (Cinemax) -- Season 5 Thread -- Premieres 2/2/18

The heart scene with Mac hacking up that dude and pumping his heart made me squirm.

Does that really happen? The finger print all of the sudden becomes unusable because blood is no longer flowing through the body?

At least Mac got a little action in this episode even though it was with that terrorist chick.

I'm just waiting for Captain Reynolds to get a little action now...;)

On the behind the scenes feature after the show, they said Warren Brown (Mac) is actually a trained MMA fighter, so he was a natural fight for that MMA fight sequence.

Enjoyed tonight’s episode. Some good action and shootouts. Liked seeing Section 20 hold their own against that White Power army.

 at the last scene with Lowry taking out the two trucks of Hungarian army by herself to get the scientist. That must have been a really high power assault rifle.

Well, I just finished the whole thing.

Spoiler:
Overall, it was okay. Stonebridge and Scott do come back for the last 2 episodes but they felt really out of place in regards to the whole story arc. They really didn't need to be there at all. Slightly disappointed by that.

I'm glad i didn't get spoilt with the Scott and Stonebridge return ! i was shocked in a nice way

I agree that their part in the last 2 episodes was a bit disappointing. They still had the chemistry with each other, but not with the new cast and it seemed the producers were trying really really hard to have Sullivan and Philip Not overshadow the new cast, which they could do in a heartbeat

Still following the Cinemax airings. Episode 5 aired on Friday.

I liked seeing Gracie (the one with the butch haircut) get into some badass hand to hand combat scenes. Some pretty gruesome take downs and kills by her.

There was a little sex/nudity, but it didn't involve any of the main cast members.

I also read that Alin Sumarwata (Gracie) is married to Don Hany, the actor who played that terrorist Idrisi in the earlier episodes.

That hallway fight scene was badass.

 @ them stealing the hearse and ditching the body

 Captain Reynolds.

Although you really couldn't see much and the dude she banged was a douchebag. I like how Mac tried to sell himself as a potential partner to her, but she declined.

I'll be the first to admit, I was expecting Gracie's sex scene was going to be a full out Lesbian sex scene. and to my surprise it wasn't. She does have noce body and some pretty interesting tattoos.

Not surprised at all that Idrisi is still alive.

Dan MacPherson (Wyatt) posted on Instagram that he hopes they come back for another season.

Finally got some nudity from the leads!

Re: Strike Back (Cinemax) -- Season 5 Thread -- Premieres 2/2/18

The girl that Wyatt wanted to bang was cute, but she was dumb as rocks, hence getting shot to death in that farm house assault.

-eek- Will getting his eye gouged out with the screw driver.

This new team and their dynamic is growing on me.

Although I can't wait to see Stonebridge and Scott again in 2 weeks. However, it's going to be a little weird seeing how they're integrated into this plot.

Strike Back 1980's style opening title sequence.

Pretty cool.

Eye gouged out only to be strangled the next episode.

I didn't see that twist coming completely, although looking back, they have been sort of telegraphing it all season.

Can't fucking wait for next week with the 2 cameos.

Renewed for a 6th season or 7th if you count Origins.

Nice.

I read that Sully and Winchester are open to returning again if it fits into their schedules.

MJ Bassett, their lead director and EP, did post on Instagram months ago that he’s done with the show. Who knows if he changes his mind or not. As I mentioned previously, he’s going through a lot of shit with his sex change.

MJ Bassett confirmed he/she is leaving the show as it's EP and lead director:

Sweet news. It started off shaky but it has really grown on me.

Re: Strike Back (Cinemax) -- Season 5 Thread -- Premieres 2/2/18

Damn, poor Jensen. 1st gets his eye violently gauged out. Then, gets strangled to death by his own boss.

Yeah I didn't see the twist with Donovan coming like that, but she has been kind of acting fishy. Plus, Reynolds was seeing that she was hiding something.

Can't wait for Friday to see how they bring back the boys. Hopefully it's not too forced. I do like this new team now. I think their chemistry is growing. The girls are awesome.

Re: Strike Back (Cinemax) -- Season 5 Thread -- Premieres 2/2/18

Nice cameo at the end by Stonebridge and Scott.

Once it hit the 48 minute mark, I had a feeling it was only a quickie to set up the finale.

It would have been a major Oh shit moment had Cinemax not announced this weeks ago. But, I had a feeling with the UK and Cinemax airing the episodes months apart, spoilers would have leaked. So, I guess Cinemax just gave in and promoted their return.

Some cool action sequences in this episode, especially in the open. I also dug Reynolds putting 2 bullets in Donovan for her betrayal. Seems like those damn politicians in the UK have it out for Section 20.

I'm glad it's coming back.

Spoiler:
I think they still need to get the lady that Donavan works for.

Tonight is the season 5 finale on Cinemax

Stonebridge and Scott are back for this episode.

The show was renewed for a 6th season last week.

After kind of a lackluster start, this has been a pretty good season. I kind of like this new team. Big fan now of Alin Sumarwata (Gracie Novin). Total badass.

DJariya 04-07-18 12:48 AM

Re: Strike Back (Cinemax) -- Season 5 Thread -- Premieres 2/2/18

Well, glad it got renewed since it ended on a cliffhanger of sorts.

Disavowed Section 20 on the run being chased by the Russians. Plus, there is a loose thread with Donovan's boss who ordered them taken out.

Enjoyed Scott and Stonebridge's cameo even though they didn't really need to be here.

 at how both of them bailed once they shot out the lights.

Stonebridge: "Scott, Let's go to Sao Paolo!!"

Scott: "Fuck yeah"

I participated in a live Instagram chat with Dan MacPherson (Wyatt) tonight. He was at LAX getting ready to leave for a flight to the undisclosed location for season 6. He said they’re getting ready to start production soon. He’s very cool and funny and answered a few of my questions.

He said he can’t reveal the location yet.

If you’re on Instagram, he’s worth a follow and does these chats every now and then.
