Being a reader of the comics, I know what The title of the episode, "Sing Me a Song," means.

Whoa whoah whoah. I'm not sure we can handle two things at once.

All I can think of is "Killing in the Name of" by Rage Against the Machine.

I was hoping when Negan made Carl sing, it'd be "These Eyes".

Better than last week but still disappointing. Most of it felt like filler. Why has Carol only been in 1 episode this season?

I'd like to take it back to awkward silence now. 😊

What did the note/letter in tree stand walker's pocket say? I paused it, but it looked like gibberish. EDIT: never mind -- posted while I was watching ... Didn't figure it would be resolved so soon.

I'm not an expert in traumatic injuries (maybe I'm an idiot for thinking this), but wouldn't Carl's eye socket have formed some sort of covering (scab, skin?) to protect the opening?

Lucky for that edit. You would've been admonished for not paying attention.

Got a kick watching Negan enjoy carpet and running water. Why is he clean shaven in the "scenes from next week"?

Yeah, came back to correct it as soon as I reached that part! Never imagined anything in this show would payout that quickly.

So, Rick goes into his space cadet "I'm having a gran male seizure" mode again and Negan has blood splattered on his face ... Shall we begin speculating?

Whoa... people are going to be verrry upset that you didn't spoilerize !

I'm guessing he
Spoiler:
starts feeling more 'civilized' while he's hanging out in Alexandria & decides to take off the beard. Besides, he's already said 'I need to shave this shit' twice this season!

I thought this was a good episode, however...
Negan goes to Alexandria ALONE & by the looks of it, unarmed (except Lucille) & tells none of the Saviors where he was going. He had his back turned to Carl while talking to Olivia numerous times & being that Carl initially tried to kill Negan, Carl tries NOTHING to take him out when he had the chance ?

Rick isn't scared of Negan. If Rick were to do anything Negan would kill five random other people.
"See what you made me do Rick!" "Now why did you make me kill those people."
That is how Negan is controlling him.

Negan believes he has Rick under his control, and Rick has his people under his control. That's why Negan didn't question the empty grave.
Carl gets it.

I don't think killing just Negan would solve anything. The Saviors are the like the mirror universe on Star Trek. They wouldn't retaliate. The psycho who takes his place would be glad he's gone and everything would continue business as usual.

There would be a HUGE power vacuum as they fought each other to be the top dog and many would leave. We have seen what happens when his people try to leave, many of his people are not happy with him. Part of showing the Sanctuary is to show how bad his people have it too so when there is the final battle with Alexandria, Hilltiop, et al. his people will switch sides or betray him as well.

So who was watching the baby while Carl was out playing assassin? I thought it was kind of odd the baby was in the house alone.

I don't read the comics, and have no doubt that Negan is a horrific villain on page, but in reality he's an annoying twat. JDM is one of my favorite actors... but his take on the character here is pisspoor.

So Michonne thinks she is Omar?

Corals eye make up looked terrible.

The fact that Coral didn't take a shot on Negan when he had a chance is ridiculous. You don't go through all that and then hesitate. Negan should've been using a human shield all along to make it more believable.

Yeah, Carl's missing eye didn't really look right. To really do it properly, they'd probably have to CGI out a chunk of his head, which would probably a budget buster.

Here's what the missing eye looks like in the comics:
