So is it supposed to be in this week or next's episode that Murphy's promised storyline schism/shift takes place in (Like a whole separate season that comes out of nowhere, as I seem to recall his being quoted)?

I quite hope it's this week - this season has thus far been almost dully linear in the twists and turns; confusion and mayhem; and the unforeseen unpredictability of an ofttimes incomprehensible nature AHS is so very much loved(aka. hated) for.

Next week. Episode 6 IIRC.

This story line is running it's course anyway. The couple fully as they have been shown in the reenactments knows what is going on now, so it would only make sense if they got killed, or got the fuck out. And since they are being interviewed on the show...

Interesting part will be how they tie the story the couple has been telling to the twist (if there is a connection).

Is that Chaz Bono as the hillbilly with the shotgun?

I've enjoyed this season, but the documentary format is hopefully played out now. Ready to see it move back to a more conventional storytelling narrative.

Yes.

And there's Evan Peters. Funny how they list him in the credits every episode, even though this was his first on screen appearance. Lady Gaga is only credited in the eps she appears in (2-4, so far).

Wow, I was just joking about that being Chaz Bono but it actually is.

In case you missed it, like I did, Evans Peter's characters is an ancestor of Dandy Mott from the Freakshow season.

So why isn't the property crawling with the ghosts of the naked servant girls?

That's the big "surprise" they're planning to unleash next week; the first Xxx episode of American Horror Story

I knew the name was familiar, but didn't put it together, thanks. I wonder if that's more than just an Easter egg?

There is a lot of talk that this season will be filled with connections to other seasons.

Bring on the big twist and hopefully and end to this Roanoke bore.

I've been enjoying this season.....very creepy. My back yard is woods so I can understand the fear in getting lost in 'em....not to mention the spirits. :)

But have you gotten to go balls-deep into Lady Gaga? If not, your woods just suck. ;)

I guess next week will determine if I finish the season. I think I would have been done this week if I didn't have that promise of a twist. Don't get me wrong -- I've enjoyed it, but it's just gotten a bit tedious.
