I dunno... it seems silly (more than the usual Frank story line) and simply a filler story line to give Frank something to do.
It really makes no sense why Frank would even need this new "family". The only reason he hung around his real family was to mooch off them (ie. shelter, food, etc). This new "family" brings absolutely nothing to the table - and if anything, will just slow him down and get in his way.

Still plugging away on this one..

Interesting that Emmy directed this one.

Not digging any of the storylines, but not hating them either.

Background watch.

I didn't notice what Debbie's sign said in the episode so thanks for posting it above.

So Frank's "homeless shelter" is just down the street from the Gallagher's house? It didn't seem to be that close originally. Also it seems like too nice of a house to be in the same neighborhood.

That conversation was great. That's the kind of writing this show has been missing since the first few seasons.

I think Sheila's house wasn't that far from the Gallagher house, and it was definitely much nicer than most of the homes in the area.

I can't remember - why was the home that Frank set up as a shelter sitting empty? It seems attractive enough to be bought up by all the richer people gentrifying the neighbourhood.

Maybe Lip will now see why college is important, not like every second of his life hasn't shown him already.

So is Carl gone for the rest of the season again? What's up with him? When he got sent to juvie he was gone for the rest of the season. I'm assuming the same thing here. Does the actor have some conflict?

Any word on if this is the last season? It seems like all the character arc's are pointing towards the endgame....again.

I believe there were talks that this could be the end. I think everyone was contracted for 7 seasons, so there would need to be re-negotiations. If I remember correctly, the ratings for the premiere were less than the previous year.

They should really let them develop a final season with the knowledge that it's going to be the last one. I'm pretty sure they didn't produce this one thinking it would be the last.

Re: Shameless (S7E08) -- "You Sold Me The Laundromat, Remember?" -- 11/20/16

No comments? I thought this was probably the best episode of the season. I always like when there start to be serious consequences for all the crazy behavior.

I never thought of Frank being a genius until Lip described him that way. He definitely does have a certain intelligence and ingenuity. I could buy him being successful if he wasn't self destructive.

It's weird seeing the Kev-Vee-Svetlana storyline get serious. I never knew Fiona disliked Svetlana so much. Of course it's weird for Fiona to call Svetlana a con artist after she just used Etta's credit card to pay for the repair materials.

What was it again that Lip did to get expelled? I remember he broke the window on his professor's car. Was that it?

Debbie's pretty dumb. All she has to do is go to the police and tell them her child was kidnapped. Those people shouldn't have any legal rights to the child. Of course, she's probably afraid she'll get in further trouble with DCFS for not being there when she was taken.

I think we all know someone like that, even if it's not to the extreme Frank carries it to. My best friend in high school was a goddamn genius when it came to smoking weed. You know the type: could make a bowl out of a coconut and a piece of string.

I know you made a typo, but it's still pretty funny... and true.

Fiona is an idiot. She has all these plans to get out of poverty (which is admirable), but she doesn't do basic shit like inventory the washers & dryers? Or even look around and see the crappy floor and ceiling tiles? Honestly, I was waiting for one of the barflies to discover that they were asbestos floor tiles, and Fiona had been giving herself mesothelioma.

Well that and sleeping with a professor. I'm sure shit like that happens fairly often on college campuses, but the video being sent all over the school kinda forced their hand.

Pretty dumb? That's an understatement. But yeah, the first thing I thought was "call the cops". The second thing I thought was "is that smart, with DCFS all up her ass?" So who knows?

Re: Shameless (S7E08) -- "You Sold Me The Laundromat, Remember?" -- 11/20/16

I thought she tore the check up last week and was out on the laundromat, so I was a little confused when she just jumped back in, did I miss something?

Was hoping Lip would get back in to college, that was a bummer.

The laundromat scenes were all good, it was good to get a new space to expand on.

The trios with kevin and veronica has run its course, time to end it

Yeah, she taped the check back together and deposited it at the bank.

No word on season 8. Previous renewals have happened not long after most of the season premieres though. Showtime also hasn't announced the fate of Masters of Sex yet. Maybe they'll announce them together.

I'm betting there will be a season 8.
