Glad to have this back. One of the few scripted traditional network shows I still watch.

I don't watch much TV, but I love this show--and I loved that episode! Melissa rocking the shotgun. Todd behind the wheel of the A-Team van.

Only thing that would have been better is if it would have been Sean Bean.

Why did they come into the house armed to the teeth? Unless there's more to the story there, I don't quite understand that (I get he's uber paranoid but geez they were asking to be shot)

Killing off John Hamm like they did with Will Ferrell.

Shot by his ex no less, and done in such a way you couldn't even speculate whether he was staying around. Perfect.

IMO, one of the best episodes of the show. Loved the Hamm cameo.

As someone who has never seen Hamm in anything other than maybe 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, and SNL, I didn't see anything particularly funny about his appearance. Was there something I missed?

They have to top it next year. Meryl Streep or equivalent prestige.

Yeah, that was pretty damn funny in my opinion.

Betty killing Don was great. He had it coming for all those years of infidelity.
Seeing her holding the shotgun made me wonder if she was going to go out in the yard and start shooting birds.

I had no idea and that does makes it even better. I already thought it was great because Hamm seems to be a big fan of the surprise/odd cameo appearance in shows and roles you would never expect him to appear in. Often he plays odd versions of himself, such as in "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret" or BBC's "Toast of London." That might have made it better if he had actually been playing himself, like Bill Murray in Zombieland: "Why did you shoot American treasure John Hamm?"

-confused- Isn't Don Draper by far Hamm's most famous role?

When Bobby from Sons of Anarchy walked into the masturbation room and said "I'd do her, and her, and her, and hell, I'd do all of them"... I cracked up.

Yes, and Betty Draper is by far January Jones' most famous role.

Perhaps, but other than him I couldn't tell you who else was in Mad Men. I've never seen an episode.

Talk shows, magazine covers at supermarket checkout lanes, and award nominations/wins should've given fame to Jon Hamm, Elizabeth Moss, January Jones, Christina Hendricks, and John Slattery. (That's not the entire cast.)

Yes...Nope...Nope...Nope...Nope. To be fair I knew of January Jones but for other reasons.

And even if I had heard of their participation in Mad Men, that tells me nothing about any relationships between the characters they played in a show I never saw, which was the point I was referring to. Not sure why that is so hard to believe.

I can believe it. I know virtually nothing about Game of Thrones except that Peter Dinklage is in it, there's a character named John Snow and the show's known for killing off anyone at any time and in any quantities - yet the show is insanely popular.
