Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: A SHEEP of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones Sheep)
Soliciting Sheep opinions on two answers for an upcoming question.

Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: A SHEEP of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones Sheep)
Wildfire is not a name, it is a description of a weapon like napalm. Napalm is not a name, neither is wildfire.
|
Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: A SHEEP of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones Sheep)
I would say that if the name of the weapon is not mentioned on the show then it should not count. You made that point in the first post. This is about the show, not the books.

Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: A SHEEP of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones Sheep)
Lion's Tooth is a weapon on the show that has been referred to by a proper name. I haven't watched Season 1 in a long time, so it's hard for me to remember if it was in the show or in the wikis and such that I have seen. But the named weapon was on the TV show. I think it's an acceptable answer to the question as phrased (though it is my answer so I'm admittedly biased).

Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: A SHEEP of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones Sheep)
I think Lion's Tooth is a good answer if the name was said on the show. I haven't seen Season 1 in a couple years so I don't remember if it was referred to by its name or not.
|
Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: A SHEEP of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones Sheep)
If it wasn't said on the show, it shouldn't count. The rules were specific that anything in the books that wasn't on the show wouldn't be counted as correct.
|
Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: A SHEEP of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones Sheep)
I don't remember anyone referring to that sword by name on the show, and wildfire is not a proper name.
|
Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: A SHEEP of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones Sheep)
This game pertains to the HBO original series Game of Thrones. Sorry, smug book readers, but anything that happens in the books but not in the TV show is NOT eligible. Wildfire is not a proper name. Weapons used at the Blackwater: swords, axes, wildfire, arrows. |

Re: TV Talk (Reverse) Sheep: A SHEEP of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones Sheep)
Thanks to the Sheep for the opinions! Since we don't have any evidence that Lion's Tooth was actually named on the show, I'm going to count it as incorrect. I wanted to restrict content to what appeared on the actual TV series so clever people wouldn't say "This character with the beard who appears in the background is totally ____." Of course I could've avoided all this trouble by crafting the Reverses in my usual easy-to-verify style, but I indulged myself in the hopes that the Sheep wouldn't be too clever to cause me problems. Shoulda known better!

Good. I was torn between Hardhome and Blackwater. Sometimes that means the answers will be split. Sometimes it means I'm all alone with my answer while everyone answers the other one (like the "sexposition" question here) :(

11. R: HBO's cast page lists seven members of the Free Folk, or "wildings." Without referring to that page, name one of them.
OK, it's another Reverse, but at least I can check this one easily. I wanted to have some Wildlings question, but didn't want to have to count a minimum number of episodes or make it completely open. So the HBO page was a compromise, with the added complexity that Sheep wouldn't know who exactly was considered important enough to be listed on that page. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hUI8LSGi8f...02-960-638.png |
