FALLING WATER is the story of three unrelated people who slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream. The deeper they dig, the more they come to realize that the visions found in their common dream just might hold the key to the fate of the world. Lizzie Brocheré ("American Horror Story: Asylum"), David Ajala ("Fast & Furious 6") and Will Yun Lee ("Hawaii 5-0") star. The series, from Universal Cable Productions, is executive produced by Hurd of Valhalla Entertainment, Masters and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo ("28 Weeks Later") who also directed the pilot. The late Emmy(R) Award-winner Henry Bromell ("Homeland") executive produced the pilot.

Watched the preview of the Pilot episode that aired really late the other night. It actually aired commercial free.
Honestly, I wasn't too crazy about it. Felt really sleepy and slow burn. Not sure I really understood what was going on with the 3 strangers (Will Yun Lee, Lizzie Brochere and David Ajala) Supposedly it has something to do with their dreams linking them.
I have a lot on my plate already and I think I'm going to pass on this show.
The Pilot will air again officially on Thursday October 13th. I think this show is going to struggle on Thursdays. Terrible night to put a slow burn supernatural thriller.

I dont mind a slow burn so I liked it. It seemed like a more coherent version of Sense 8.

Watched this yesterday, almost shut it off halfway through because I thought I was getting lost. Then the woman with the baby dreams was approached by the business man, she did the inception thing, and I felt the pilot turned around for me. I'm in.
I never watch anything when it actually airs, so my viewing schedule is very flexible.

I was almost going to check this out for Lizzie Brochere. Then I saw that Blake Masters created this. He created Brotherhood (on Showtime), which I was a very big fan of. If anyone hasn't seen that, they should definitely check it out. After seeing all the people involved, I watched the trailer again and still can't convince myself. Too many shows, too little time.

This hasn't gotten much discussion but it's a very interesting show once you get past the overly stylized pilot.
There is a deeper mystery woven into the narrative, vaguely reminiscent of Lost.

I'm enjoying this.
I wonder if like inception. That cult uses the green shoes to differentiate when you are in a dream vs when you are not. As the girl who killed the ambassador took hers off before she went in the cafe.

It could be even more like Inception if there are dreams within a dream happening for multiple people.

I'm really liking this show but I fear the low-key tone is driving away audiences used to "big boom" in their shows.

That was a bizarre ending. Reminded me of Existenz. Not sure where they go from here, in the unlikely event this gets renewed.

Yeah, the ending was weird as shit. FWIW I still think they are all dreaming. And I don't know how the mom thinks she make him safe if she still doesn't even have his actual physical body.

Renewed for a second season : http://deadline.com/2017/04/falling-...er-1202060037/
New showrunner hired as well.
If you missed it, the first season will be available on Amazon Prime later this year.

Any news on a premiere date? I noticed that NBC Universal has a new head, and she seems to want to dump the "dark" dramas and replace them with comedies. I hope Falling Water isn't collateral damage from the new regime.

There's no information about when it's airing. USA hasn't said anything. If I had to guess it would be winter or spring 2018.
Season 1 isn't even on Amazon Prime yet.

For those curious,
season 2 of Falling Water begins production this Wednesday.
They don't wrap until next March.
You're looking at season 2 either airing late Spring or next summer 2018.

Season 2 premier Sat Jan 6 at 10 PM. A switch from Thursdays to Saturdays can't be good.

Since pretty much nobody watched this show (here especially), I think this should be re-named Series thread. Seems like a lot of these dark heavily serialized shows these days aren't really discussion board friendly. Also, this show gets virtually no promotion from USA and it's premiering next week on a Saturday.

Like most cable shows these days, the network had basically already committed to two seasons before it ever aired. Don't expect a third season. The good thing is that the writers and producers likely knew that before making season two.
