Re: Blindspot (S2E04) -- "If Beth" -- 10/5/16

Nothing much to talk about in this episode. Mostly filler case of the week with some light touches of the overall Sandstorm plot.

Jane's sword fight with the rogue CIA agent/assassin was pretty cool though.

The stuff with Jane's brother & adoptive mother talking about the water poisoning/sicknesses & how they want to see revenge felt very PSA-like/preachy.

Looks like Reade is starting to lose it. That guy he was stalking at the end is the molester I presume.

Lake Aurora is in the U.S. and it's the U.S. government that looked the other way to the pollution/poisoning, which is part of the reason they're giving for why they're against the government. It's what's causing Jane so much conflict. She agrees the government has done bad things, but without her memories, she's no longer convinced the Sandstorm way is the way to handle it. Then again, she's also not sure it isn't.

Reade is well past starting to lose it. They've shown the old coach before. Yes, that's who he's stalking.

Re: Blindspot (S2E04) -- "If Beth" -- 10/5/16

If anybody feels the now revealed motives for Sandstorm are silly/preachy, probably best to just bail now. Seems like a legit (in Hollywood) rationale that would explain the why some otherwise good people like Jane would do bad things.

The Reade thing is becoming an unwelcome distraction. Hopefully it wraps up soon. And if it's like the gambling story line last season, it will work it's way into the larger plot in some way.

This episode was meh. Throwaway case. But overall, I'm liking the season so far.

'If Beth" = "The FBI"

I figured out that one myself!

Loved the use of "the scream" during the shootout on the stairs.

I caught that as well.

Any thoughts on Jane's family not actually being her family? Seems like something fishy is going on. The "brother" does geniuinely seem to care for her, but the mom has a very devious untrustworthy vibe.

Orphans raised as killing machines/secret agents/etc. always seemed a bit too comic book for this show. I'd like to see her with a more mundane background.

Noticed it right off. The use has got to be an intentional to get a laugh at this point, no?

If I was the actress playing Patterson, I would be WTF? and looking to get off the show.

Not too thrilled that they are going down this split personality road. I just hope they don't do something lame and make the split as the Sandstorm mole.

Weller and Nas in Bulgaria eh?

Having so many parallel threads this episode was a bit much.

Re: Blindspot (S2E06) -- "Her Spy's Mind" -- 10/19/16

Pretty good episode. Some intense scenes.

I don't buy it that the FBI doesn't have secure tech rooms that require key cards for entrance. And someone like Robert can just walk right in. My job/building requires key cards and there are certain places my key card can't access (i.e.: the service elevators, facilities maintenance room, etc). I'd think the FBI building would be more secure than the one I work at.

Re: Blindspot (S2E06) -- "Her Spy's Mind" -- 10/19/16

Behind on shows, but agree with comments.

Weller and Nas. More like huh? Maybe the writers for this ep need to reference the previous episodes where they have no chemistry and find out Weller is an expecting dad.

All over the place with four plots. Not to mention a few minutes passing between segments of one scene, while hours passed during similar segments of other missions. Isn't a director supposed to figure that out and address through script edits or arrangement in post editing?

Re: Blindspot (S2E07) -- "Resolves Eleven Myths" -- 10/26/16

This was an awesome episode. Probably one of the better ones in the last few weeks. Lots of action and I liked seeing Rich Dot Com again. It had a very Die Hard and Leverage vibe to it.

The Acadian assassin was pretty badass. Those fight scenes with Weller and Jane were pretty crazy. Loved the scene where he kicked Reade and Zapata's ass. The ending had a very cool twist to it with Patterson outsmarting Rich and his cohorts.

I agree with Entertainment Weekly's review of the episode. They gave it an A-.

Double check your DVRs. Last week's episode was cancelled at the last minute because of the World Series. It may not be set to record this week, so you will have to manually record it.

Something is messed up with the channel listings. As was mentioned, this did not air last week. However, it was available on demand. Yet this week, a different episode title was listed, but the recording and on demand are showing the same episode that was on demand last week.

I agree the other guy's memory of the events was great.

Why are Weller and Naz a thing? It's really off putting and makes no sense. Doesn't help the two don't have any chemistry.
