I liked last season more than the first. It took some chances by exploring some difficult terrain and won't risk being pigeon-holed solely as a comedy show. Looking forward to the new season.

Wow, Season 3 snuck up on me! Looking forward to this.
Wasn't sure we'd get S3 for most of the last season's run. Hope the ratings are a little better this year (but considering the show repeats on HULU, I sort of doubt it will).

Will just consider this year the final, bonus season and enjoy it as such.

Quiet frankly one of my favorite shows in the last few years. Really was scared it was going to be canned in FX's little bid to kill off any show they had, and its move to FXX still confuses me, but man, the critical praise for the realistic nature and writing of relationships in this show just makes me hope it'll stick around.

Either way, another season worth of episodes is welcome here. Been going through the last two seasons again the last few weeks and just reaffirmed how much I enjoyed this show.

I don't remember Paul and Lindsey getting back together, and I thought season 2 ended with Jimmy and Gretchen having some sort of falling out and he went and slept with the bartender.

This was a fine return to form after what I thought was a misstep with last season's exhausting depression arc. It kept the funny humor this time while touching a more grounded emotional reality.

I ditched this one around the LCD Soundsystem episode last year. Jumping back in, I loved everything with Jimmy / Gretchen (especially the reaction on Jimmy's face when he found out she spoke fluent Spanish) but Edgar and that fat girl still get on my nerves. I guess I'll just have to accept that they are main characters if I want to stick with the show.

I like really like Edgar's girlfriend, but she's way too nice and well-adjusted for this gang.

Good start to the season. I hope it doesn't stumble.

i get the sense it will be even more so with the PTSD/off the meds storyline, and more violent. my theory is that jimmy makes a "freeloader" crack once too often and edgar beats him. As Mr Chekhov from star trek said in his smoking gun theory, if you hear a smart ass comment in the first episode it must have some payoff by the penultimate episode or it is not dramatically important. also let's drink some kentucky wintage.

i guess they are doubling down on being the overtly sexual but addressing "issues" show. i happen to like what they did last season and look forward to how they explore Edgar's diagnosis and struggles.

but with lots of pussy eating so it doesn't get too heavy.

Hopefully with Lindsay stabbing Paul, it solidified it once and for all that they shouldn't be together. I want them to move on from that story line already.

Up 8% from Season 2s debut in L+3, and the most watched episode of the series on FXX (Season 1 was on regular FX and had slightly higher ratings)

So off to a pretty good for a show that always seems to be on ratings life support. I really wish they did a deal with Netflix instead of Hulu though, a season 1 binge would have boosted season 2 ratings.

Pretty good news regarding the ratings. Would like this show to stick around a little longer, if possible. Though like I said, I'm just grateful this show has lasted to a third season (and given the premise, it can't have an eight-year run like Sunny).
I was kind of mezzo-mezzo (or maybe more accurately Mas y Menos) on this episode. Loved the opening (obviously), chuckled at the stabbing. Jimmy's role-playing was pretty funny. Other stuff felt a little forced and some deja-vu is beginning to settle in nowl

Like Sam, I was disappointed Lindsey wasn't there to perform "New Phone, Who Dis" live.
