The rise in total content should fall back as streaming services fail. Not all of them are going to survive in their current form.
Come back in a couple of years.

It'll be interesting to see what baseline number of scripted series can be sustainable and if/when this starts to scale-back. After all, these shows are produced to attract viewers (e.g., generate ad revenue) and increase membership subscriptions. If people (like myself and others) simply don't have the time to keep current with many of these and choose not to watch, there should be a potential tipping point somewhere.
Broadcast: Hasn't changed much which makes sense. A finite group of networks and predefined primetime slots.
Basic Cable: Hasn't changed much in the past 3 years. More than doubled in the past 6. Some new channels have come along and as we know numerous existing channels have created original scripted shows. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Online: Agree these numbers are inflated beyond what can be sustained. Unless there's a significant shift in online/pay/cable viewership, we'll see who survives.
