Is this gonna be the show's version of the Smallville "no flight, no tights" bullshit? If so, will the last shot of the series be Amell stroking a CGI goatee?

Re: Arrow (The CW) -- Season 4 News

Arrow star Stephen Amell has set the record straight about him every having a goatee on the TV series. It's not going to happen.

On*Twitter, Amell responded in a humorously direct manner to a rumor that his Oliver Queen character would sport a comic book-inspired goatee on the upcoming fourth season of Arrow. "100 percent no," he wrote. "Never."

100% no. Never. Our show could go 14 seasons and a goatee will never appear. Hope that clears things up. Forever.https://t.co/pudAfBIhsD

— Stephen Amell (@amellywood)*July 29, 2015

And Amell didn't stop there, adding: "Our show could go 14 seasons and a goatee will never appear. Hope that clears things up. Forever."

Needless to say, don't expect to see Amell ever sporting a goatee on Arrow. But he will sport*new duds and interact with new characters in Season 4.

Because the Oliver Queen/Green Arrow of the comics has the goatee and the TV version doesn't. That's the uproar.

The classic Green Arrow with goatee. Canary as a bonus.

Mouth-breathing nerds who get their panties in a twist whenever a movie/TV show makes even the slightest change to their precious comic.

For example, when people complain about the removal of Superman's red trunks in Man of Steel or when people complain that Wolverine should be wearing yellow spandex in the movies. I have also seen someone criticize the actor playing Barry Allen on the CW Flash TV show for not having blonde hair.

I, for one, think Wolverine needs his outfit. But as someone who watched Arrow before looking at the comic, the beard looks way too funny on the comic. Cannot get into it.

Who the fuck cares if he has a goatee or not? At least they're calling him Green Arrow now.

Stephen Amell to be a special guest on next week's episode of WWE Raw on USA. He currently has a twitter feud with Stardust and word is they may have a match in the near future.

Summerslam. The one year they move it from LA to NY and they have Lesnar vs Taker and Green Arrow rumored to be wrestling. So pissed.

No, I get GA has a goatee, what's Amell's issue with it? Just doesn't want to do it?

Probably, I am not going to lose any sleep if Amell never grows out a goatee. I'll be happy when they start calling him Green Arrow and give Diggle his own codename.

Keiynan Lonsdale cast as Wally West

I never heard of the dude. I looked him up on wikipedia, and he was in those crappy Divergent movies, but he hasn't done much besides that.

Flash has gotten so much wrong, so we probably shouldn't trust them on this.

I know you're being sarcastic, but they have only had one great season of Flash so far, so it's really too early to worship the ground they walk on saying everything they do is infallible. Many shows have an amazing first season, and then fall apart. Arrow (by the same people behind Flash) had an amazing second season, and then the third season went to shit.

Dude was good in Dance Academy. I was shocked to see him get this part and had to see if this was his first break out role in America (Dance Academy was a British show that did well and was on Teen Nick in the US for a bit). Talked to him before on Twitter and seems like a good dude. Didn't know he did Divergent until I checked out his other credits today. Good for him to continue to get big roles (crappy or not, they make money).

I think he said he looks like either a pedo or something to that effect of not looking good at all with one.

Makes sense.

Having a distinct goatee kinda goes against having a secret identity anyway.

I pray they don't use that terrible Wally West costume from the New 52. Give him the classic Kid Flash costume and be done with it.

Re: Flash (The CW) Season 2 News

They're embracing the campiness in Flash's rogue gallery. Why they can't embrace the silliness in Kid Flash's costume, I do not know.

But this Wally West is not MY Wally West. Not the Wally West your average adult now has grown up on through the 80's and through the height of the animated DC universe Wally. Which is really the biggest disappointment.

Yeah, it's consistent, but honestly, I'd rather they not even bother with Wally right now. It is, after all, just going to fill like Arsenal in Arrow to have a mini-me version of the hero in there.
