Loved the 1st season. Got better as the weeks progressed. Glad it's back this summer.

First season started a bit slow but got really good by the end. Looking forward to the premier because they completely pulled the rug on the formula in the finale. I haven't read anything about this season so I'm curious to see where they go from here.

Oh shit, that ending was a surprise. Can't believe they killed off "One" He was like the moral center of the Raza crew. I'm guessing the actor will still stay on the show as the original Corso and possibly pretend to be "One". The actor is on the publicity photos for season 2.
Since Nyx sort of bonded with Two, I have a feeling she may end up being a new crew member when they do get out.
It was a little slow, but that was to be expected.

Yes, definite surprise ... Also this DM > KJ definitely. Like the universe building going on here on Dark Matter. (The single star system of Killjoys does bug me a little.)

I'll be really surprised if One is dead. It seemed like he was faking his death to free himself to investigate the conspiracy. Kazoos if he really is dead. That's a big move for the show.

Don't like where this has gone. May be my own fault, but I was hoping for more Fireflyish feel. They need to be on the ship and no latter than Ep. 2.

This is a much darker science fiction drama.

Well, last night's episode pretty much confirmed that "One" is dead.
I guess Devon and Nyx are essentially his replacements on the Raza.
at Android being a badass killing machine at the order of "Five"
Looks like "Six" will be staying in stasis for his body to heal.
Glad they didn't drag out the prison stuff and they're back in the Raza.

That's a dark turn for Five by giving that command. She could have just as easily said to disable them.

Five did end up grabbing a non-lethal weapon, though. Wife and I really liked this ep more than last week.

Great episode on Friday.
I really enjoyed seeing Two, Three and Four revert back to their original evil personalities and cause havoc on the Raza.
This show does a pretty good job with the character development. I liked seeing a little of who they were prior to the amnesia.
And I'll go ahead and say it, I think Melissa O'Neil is my new TV crush. She IMO is drop dead gorgeous. and she's a surprisingly really good actress for someone with very little acting experience.
I guess most here are just letting episodes build up to binge. The season 2 thread has been very quiet compared to last season. Only a few people are chiming in. Dark Matter isn't a flashy science fiction show, but it's very well made and acted for a Canadian production on SyFy.

Yeah, I really liked this past week's episode. And I also agree about O'Neil. She is very, err... crushable.
I think my favorite character, though, is the younger girl because she's easier to identify with since she's kind of the conscience of the crew.
I'm glad they didn't linger too long at the prison, but I liked some of the futuristic details they included, like the virtual 'yard.'
Also, surprisingly, I haven't been too annoyed by the android so far this season, so that's an improvement!

Re: Dark Matter (SyFy) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 7/1/16
I caught up on the first 3 episodes last night. I'm enjoying it. I binge watched most of last season and it's a good show for that. I found myself disappointed I didn't have another ep to watch.
The killing of One was unexpected. What with the clones and whatnot on the show I thought it could be a bluff, but after the actor didn't appear in the next two episodes I figured it was more than that and did some googling to find one of the creators of the show confirm that he's dead. Some more future ep spoilers in the link too, but nothing too serious. One was the least interesting character, but he had an interesting back story/situation so I was glad Two suggested they weren't going to let whoever did it get away with it.

I liked the new and improved Android in Friday's episode.
Liked the sass and she looked better with her hair down. Hopefully she doesn't revert back.
Wow, didn't expect Two to kill off the real Jace Corso. Now he's definitely off the show for good.
Lost Girl reunion in this episode. Kris Holden-Ried (the Galactic Inspector) and Zoie Palmer (Android) were co-stars in that show.

Really enjoying this season.
So who do you think hitched a ride back from the other universe? Maybe it was the alternate "One." They keep figuring out ways to bring him back on the show. Though I would be happy if it were alt-Two, just because Melissa O'Neill is so hot. Wait, we never saw an alt-version of Five. Maybe that's who was piggybacking in the shuttle.

I liked Wil Wheaton as the bad guy in the latest episode. Kinda smarmy, but not too over the top.

Dark Matter is definitely SyFy's best new show (well, 2nd season new show). I remember how we had very low expectations when it was announced...

Re: Dark Matter (SyFy) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 7/1/16
because I honestly did not think they could keep a show rolling along with only the hook of memory loss, even if they did set it in space. I'm happy to be wrong being this is one of my fav shows now. The writing on the show is pretty good and they keep over lapping everything from ep to ep.
it would have been easy to just do kind of an A-team in space with them just drifting around for a story of the week. Yet the show writers went with a huge corp space war and keep making sure everything they show or do ties into other eps. Even the card the girl had in the first ep has played a role in later eps if I remember right.
it's refreshing to see something like that in a Sci-fi setting where again, a story of the week would of been very, very easy. Help this ship, help the people on that planet, oh look this alien needs our help. Nice to see a little writing effort to build out an entire season long story line vs pure space procedural stuff.
