THE DARKER SIDE OF LONDON IS FULL OF SEX, MURDER AND INTRIGUE IN THE SERIES PREMIERE OF "GUILT" AIRING MONDAY, JUNE 13 ON FREEFORM

When a young woman is brutally murdered in her London flat, the search for her killer leads to scandal and intrigue stretching all the way from underground sex clubs to the highest levels of the Royal Family, in the series premiere of "Guilt," airing MONDAY, JUNE 13 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on Freeform.

The definition of guilt is being responsible for wrongdoing or a crime. In the murder of Molly Ryan, many are guilty in different ways, but only one is truly guilty of her murder. When Natalie's sister Grace becomes the prime suspect in her roommate Molly's murder and a popular target for the press and in social media, Natalie leaves her life in Boston and heads to London to defend her. With the help of an ethically questionable ex-pat lawyer Stan Gutterie, Natalie starts to question how innocent her sister may really be as more ugly truths start to emerge. The investigation twists through many layers of London society - from a posh but depraved sex club, all the way up to the Royal Family itself.

"Pilot" was written by Kathryn Price & Nichole Millard, and directed by Gary Fleder.

"Guilt" stars Billy Zane ("Titanic"), Daisy Head ("The Syndicate"), Emily Tremaine ("Vinyl"), Cristian Solimeno ("Rush"), Naomi Ryan ("Guardians of the Galaxy"), Kevin Ryan ("Copper"), Simona Brown ("The Casual Vacancy"), Zachary Fall ("Crossing Lines"), and newcomer Sam Cassidy.

"Guilt" is written, created and executive-produced by Kathryn Price ("The Game Plan") and Nichole Millard ("The Game Plan"). Todd Slavkin ("Defiance") and Darren Swimmer ("Defiance") serve as writing executive producers. Stephen McPherson serves as executive producer with Gary Fleder ("Kingdom," "Scorpion") and Larry Shaw ("Desperate Housewives") as executive producer directors.

Is Amanda Knox getting royalties for this?

I am halfway through right now and I don't expect it to get any better.

Recorded it. Took a peek in here to see if it's good.

Haven't watched an ABC Family, I mean Freeform, series in a while. I still miss Greek.

This was a slick hour of television if you are into this genre and have never heard the case about Amanda Knox. I wonder what's the point for viewers already heavily familiar with those particular details, because the truth is always stranger and usually better than fiction. This is simply a glossy, dramatic telling of that case with relatable characters.

Since this genre isn't my cup of tea, I won't be back. I did get the feeling this show was made for British audiences as much as American audiences, possibly even more. A lot of its cues are taken from current British crime dramas.

I was wondering what Freeform used to be.

I thought it was entertaining and I know about the Knox case.

Just saw the 1st episode last night.

Not bad. It's a little darker than most Freeform shows. I like the red head playing the sister, who's a lawyer. It's definitely loosely based on the Amanda Knox case.

Billy Zane is kind of cool playing the smart ass Expat lawyer helping out in the case. I'll get to episodes 2 and 3 today. I noticed that there's no new episode next week. I guess they're taking the 4th of July off.

I think it would be great if the sister was actually the killer.

So I caught up with the first 3 episodes. No episode this coming week because of the holiday.

I just found out the lead actress Daisy Head is the daughter of Anthony Head from Buffy and recently Dominion. He's guest starring as her step dad. Kind of weird that this is a UK set show, but they are playing Americans.

It's not great, but definitely watchable as a summer show. The highlight for me is Billy Zane so far.
