3rd season premieres tonight on FOX.
It last aired 2 summers ago. I kind of like this train wreck of a show. This and MasterChef are the only Ramsay shows I still pay attention to. I've been over Hell's Kitchen for a several seasons now.
Anyways, looking forward to more Hotel train wrecks.

I was flipping channels last night and I saw this was on -- a nice, guilty pleasure for this summer. A friend works part-time in a kitchen and lack of communication seems to be a big issue. Combined with staff "checking out" it's a wonder that food in a restaurant gets properly cooked at all.
The photos were a nice touch getting the owners to reconnect with the lodge and themselves.

I noticed at the end of the episode the copyright date was "2013"
Wow, has this really been sitting in the can that long?
Anyways, I liked the 1st episode. That place definitely had issues, especially in the kitchen. Was really surprised that Gordon essentially fired the chef during the big relaunch.
The son should have left. How long is he going to stay motivated running the place? His head was clearly not in it at the beginning and I doubt a fresh coat of paint and a better menu will keep him motivated in the long run. I when he started talking shit to Gordon and tried to defend his mother.

Re: Hotel Hell (FOX) -- Season 3 Thread -- Premieres 5/24/16
I found the show to be a little disingenuous. A lodge that is on its way to closure can't possibly be "fixed" after two nights of Gordon. Just about everything were fucked up in the lodge. Least of which, the need for major capital improvement to each and every room. Usually any hotel that's on the closing end of a business cycle, they are forced to close because they can't secure a big capital infusion to rejuvenate the business. I get the sense everybody pretty much put up with Gordon's shit just so they will get capital improvement on the lodge all paid for. Although, I can't remember the Chef's name, but poor lady I bet she was just winging it knowing Gordon will be gone in a day. She basically ignored Gordon like a plague. Funny stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if the lodge folded as of today.
