DC'S Legends of Tomorrow (S1E15) - "Destiny" - 5/12/16

CAPTURED - Being in the vicinity of the Time Masters leaves Rip (Arthur Darvill) and Rory (Dominic Purcell) incredibly disturbed for very different reasons. Meanwhile, Sara (Caity Lotz) takes over the Waverider, Kendra (Ciara Renée) is reunited with Carter (guest star Falk Hentschel) and Snart (Wentworth Miller) decides he might be a hero after all. Olatunde Osunsanmi directed the episode with story by Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Phil Klemmer & Chris Fedak (#115). Original airdate 5/12/2016.

Wentworth Miller leaving as a series regular.

He will now be recurring on this show and The Flash. He will basically be doing "full-time" work split between 2 shows.

I wonder how that will happen after what happened in this episode.

Read the article. There is an interview with Berlanti and he explains it.

RIP Snart....for now. Miller new deal supposedly allows him to work on all the Berlanti shows, but for now just Legends and Flash. So he could feasibly pop into Supergirl if it fits the story as well.

at Rip shrinking Ray and putting him in his pocket. Someone has got to do a gif of that scene.

Thought this was a pretty cool episode. Probably one of the better ones in a few weeks.

Finale is next week. Hopefully it wraps decently. The article I posted says they plan to start season 2 with new characters and a new villain.

That got a big laugh out of me.

I must say, as this episode started, I was seriously considering dropping this show, even with one episode left. It, along with Arrow, have been a chore to watch. Something about the way the story finally came together as this episode progressed has me sticking around. I don't know if it was planned from the start, but it almost seemed a bit of a reboot to do away with all the crap they've been doing. Maybe it's just that they've pretty much destroyed the time masters and explained all the dumb stuff as being predetermined and designed by someone else.

He didn't explain shit. Just some mumbo-jumbo about time travel.

Maybe

Spoiler:
Little kid Snart stuck in the limbo house with the old lady will grow into a new Captain Cold

but I doubt they'll even bother to follow that storyline through.

Maybe his answer wasn't clear to you, but what I got out of it was the show's time travel elements will allow Snart to come back....next season obviously.

Like said, something something time travel. Leonard Snart's timeline has reached it's end. If they go back and pick him up before he got to the Vanishing Point, he can't be there to destroy the Oculus. Paradox.

I don't really care, because the Flashverse already plays fast and loose with time, but "time travel" isn't an answer in and of itself.

But...Time Travel!

I thought it was a pretty good episode. So the Thanagarians exist in the Arrowverse, are they hawkpeople or maybe they have the gravity belts/wings?

I'm guessing the Thanagarians likely play into next season's storyline. This episode wasn't terrible, which is about the best I can say about Legends these days.

Well, they only mentioned them like 5x so I'd say that's a given.

I'd hazard a guess and say they'll have no wings, maybe not even flight.

Exactly. Shit like that is why this show is failing. They could have done a good job setting up him up for cross-overs, but didn't even try.

That was the first thing I thought of too.

This episode was a bit better than the last few, but I really hope it can improve next season. At one point it was rumored that Constantine would be in the second season, does anyone know if that's still the case? (the article linked above mentions that there will be two new team members next season)

It wouldn't shock me if we get Earth 2 characters as regulars next season. Flash is the hot show at the moment and they'll want to include a character from that show.

Vixen is probably a lock at this point, what with her appearing on Arrow and the CW Seed show.

Putting Wells' daughter on this show would help thin the speedster ranks on Flash.
